Being chased by a beached whale who is lost on their way back to the ocean is even scarier.

An extract from the 'Indian Road Code for Motorcyclists' I think they based it on ours

Animals

While you should always try to avoid hitting an animal, you shouldn’t do anything dangerous, such as swerving into oncoming traffic. You have a better chance of surviving the impact from a small animal than you do a collision with another vehicle.

Motorcycles tend to attract TIGERS. If a TIGER rushes at you from the side, don’t kick at it – it generally pisses the tiger off and will cause you to lose control of the motorcycle when it removes your leg.

Instead, change down gears and approach the BIG HUNGRY BEASTY slowly. As you reach it, speed up. You will leave the animal behind so quickly that it will generally lose interest. Unless it is really hungry

...and then just put a nice bit of vindaloo paste on one of your legs for puddy-tat to munch on !!
