Suzuki 650 woes

Have a friend who bought a Boulevard 40 two years ago. At 6 months it required a new head gasket, Now at 2 years and 13000ks it has had to have the head planed and another gasket.

She doesnt ride it hard and its been looked after.

Has anyone heard of others that have given this sort of trouble?

My wife rides one of these beastys, 30,000 ks and hasn't missed a beat. Check out Google under Suzuki Savage (same beasty) and see if any known issues arise.

Not good, I'd be pissed. Still under warranty or only 1 year on them?

A quick google on "blown head gasket suzuki savage" brings up a number of hits. Some comment on overheating being a cause. Others talk about needing to check / retighten cylinder head bolts regularly.
