surely you'll be punting a new DMZ400 out there won't ya Jimmy? getting the sponsors product some glory on the track would be a great marketing gimmick! And if it gets thrashed, you've always got the 'meh, it's REALLY a road bike' excuse to fall on :)
RMZ450!!??

RMZ450!!??
Nope! DRZ400SM
Not sure if its quite the extreme machine Suzuki's website is making it out to be, but I might just have to take WT up on his offer of a road thrash to find out for myself!

Here's Petes machine, but I hope to be riding a DRZ400SM with a 430 Yoshimura motor in S2.
The RMZ kicked some much more serious bikes to the curb on Sunday in Upper Hutt. Only a 625 KTM could stay in front.
Shit man, those buses can sure ride the arse off those Suzuki's,how you gunna top that....get a B train as a rider??

It's not the size of your hammer that counts mate, it's the nail you're throwing it at.
Fish did bloody well on Sunday on a stock DRZ with 17s fitted.

Heading from the website "events" page:
Coming SuperMotard/Moto Events for 2004
I get pissed off with web pages that are not kept up-to-date. If they can update the race dates (which it seems they have) why can't they update the year?
If I had just looked at the page without reading your posting first Andy1, I would have just looked at the heading and not looked any further down the page, and not gone to the racing, and not told anyone about it.
As it is, I will most likely head up there after Manfeild to watch. And will be telling my mates about it.
Sorry for rant but it irritates the shit out of me.

Yeah. A couple of tight fisted wankers off this site have some pretty cool footage of me at Manfeild on a CR500 motard but they wont let me see it for fear of my ego swelling to disproportionate measures.
Big two strokes get the wicked power pulse, especially through the hairpin and if you aint expecting it, they'll throw ya on ya fucken' 'ead. :devil2:

A couple drops on ya head, would do you some good. I'm sure you lack the part of the brain, that controls when you back off.
Don't know about anyone else, but I'm allergic to death, WT seems to be taunting it, with a big red hot poker, in it's arse. Nutball!

make them post the vid. My mate decided he should probably put food on the table rather than race bike's. He suffered a nasty high side at taupo and munted his wrist but i know he'd like to have some footage of a cr been raced. any chance ???

Just seen the slicks get cut up for Sunday.
Look out for an RMZ450 mounted #36 and the "Mac attack" in S2. You freaks are dead.
My advice to anyone on the same track, give 'im loads of room. This boy takes no prisoners. Unfortunately, being a broken arse, I wont be there to support Pete or Quasi but I'll be getting regular updates.
Have a good one boys and good luck to you too Andy.

Shit hot.
Rain, rain, torrential rain, racing canned.
Pete was dissapointed with the weather as a whole but most impressed with the level of racing. Cut slicks apparently aren't worth a tin of shit on wet clay but he gave it a good crack anyway. Finnished 7th overall I think for S2 and about 3 secs a lap down on the fastest guy there who was running full wets.
You wanna see the state of the cunts bike and leathers now :killingme
Congrats to Andy, bit of a baptism of fire there mate.

No, and you dont need a race licence as they are not under MNZ, all you need is a scrutineered bike (on the day) and $60 entry fee, thats it

Yeap was a wet Day alright.
rear tire wasnt getting any traction in the mud which put me off. But Fuck some guys can Ride in that mud!
Dont know my results but i sucked really, just wanted to keep it on two wheels and learn what i could..
Your mate WT was on fire, like his leathers too.

Snip.....
As i speak the rainy season has just started ...hot/humid and LOTS of rain ...I Sorted out the suspension ( happy for now ) and will dial in the motor tomorrow morning ,,,,,,on wet clay ,,,,,
Its all about throttle control ..( he say as the arse end comes past him again...,no really It really good that the rain has come as the the slippery clay shows up my jetting ...)
2 nicce corners ..1 sharp 180 onto whoops ..and a 3rd gear 180 flat ..... :devil2:
and yes the little buggers come past me like I was reading the newspaper ...its hard not to get dispondent ,,,when matey comes flying past over a double and waves to his mate ...every lap,.....Whilst silly here is just progressing into shock ..from exhuastion ...

Well done your out there doing it and can only get better :D
.

Yeah, it was pretty wet for some of the day, and it turned coldish too. And talk about mud Trevor.
Quite exciting stuff really.
Was very interesting to see some guys cutting slicks - a real nifty little gadget kind of like a soldering iron with a blade.
Shame only a couple of F3 bikes turned out, but hopefully they'll run it again and there'll be more.
Hope you've recovered from your spill VFRDan.

They got three races each in, were going to do four if time permitted (which it did) but the weather didn't.
Most of the guys ended up with brown leathers after a race or two!
Yeah, Andy you did okay, it looked mighty slippery out there! And that bog-hole going back onto the tarmac looked to be getting deeper and deeper and deeper......!!

Funny thing is young fellah, I have to only make one appearance in each region a year. People talk about it for the next 12 months and my reputation's secure.
Actually, hopefully I'll be doing a spot of F1 on the rotten ol' Gixxer once settled.

Those 4 stroke certainly dig holes ...Just back from the track now and ..thinkin about droppin the compresion on the front ,,,as those basket things leave ripples ,,that if left ..turn into bogs where small children, and the occasional ferral goat have been known to disappear !
Then on the braking for sharp corners ,,,ripples from locked up rear wheels ...
All four strokes should be Banned ,,,,,, ( orrible nasty smelly things ,,,untuneable things :devil2: )
Still on a bright note ...got the bike dialled in , back brake causing probs ..will look tomorrow .....Then come sat were are off to look at ROOSTIN A few 4 strokes
:killingme
On a lighter note why were they cutting slicks ....Dont they Use full wets ??

been a while since i been on but andy1 good to see you out there mate, had good style and ya bike looked mint....and for all those in f3 that didnt turn up,thanks.... :msn-wink: apart from me binning it off the front straight at about 80k i got a second and a third at taupo. Good result i reckon for having a wet that was harder than concreate and racing against a guy that was consistant in s2, and Mr Cooke on bloody Midge Smarts 125!
Me and the bike are ok, it felt good in a strange way to crash but im slowly losing my fear....
Another fine ride from you in f3 twosmoker, i wish i was a quick as you.Hope Mototracer ok after his bin.
