HI, I'm about to go purchase a new bike and really would like to know just what I need to do with keeping it all tickety boo.
I know it has a sevice at 1000k - at the shop.

But what do I need to do to maintain it in pristine condition (besides not dropping it).

Like i'm thinking checking tires when I fil up the tank..
How often to check the chain .....

I see there's a maintenance course here in Nelson but due to family committments the timing sucks for me.

any advce will be appreciated

the best thing you can do it learn what the appropriate settings are for everything and check them regualry. if your buying new it should be a problem. check oil, chain and tyres every time you go fro a ride. let the shop work out the rest. if anything goes astray then get it looked at striaght away. looking forward to the new bike!

Shame the timing for the maintenance course sucks for you. Try to get onto one ASAP.
Else, consult your dealer with any questions you have regarding levels to check ,and adjustments required.

If you can't talk to the shop, some people on here are really helpful with any questions you have.

Enjoy the new bike.
