View Full Version : Trouble logging in?

A small minority of members are unable to figure out how to log in since the software upgrade.

At the top of the new Home Page, you will see that there are two boxes to the left of the Log In button. Enter your User name in the left box (where it says User Name - i.e. over-write the words User Name). Your password goes in the right box.

Refer to the Software Upgrade thread for answers to questions.

Rep "star" at bottom of posts. Search system currently being re-indexed - a massive job - will be working again in due course.

Can you stay permanently logged on to kiwibiker like the old one? or do I have to log on every ten mins when I have a quick look?

Just tick the "Remember Me" box when you log in...:niceone:

I click the remember me box....but if I am inactive, it appears to "time-out" and I have to log back in. Using Mozilla as web browser...is this normal.

Also, the font in ther reply box is quite small....

Worst user interface design for a login system ever. I mean who the fuck UATs that crap? Might be worse in the dark universe, but just saying...

I tried this on different browsers and versions. It happens on IE7 & 6 when the browser window is too narrow and pushes the facebook connect button over the login input. They just need to stretch out their browser window wider.

Yep, same here. I just click in the password box and then hit the shift + tab button which moves the cursor to underneath the facebook icon and you can just enter your username as normal....

When I logon since yesterday, I get "invalid redirect IRL".....

I simply log on again and all works as it should.

Anyone know why ? I've changed nothing at my end.

It's a conspiracy.

Trump's fault!!!

Trump's fault!!!

I'm certainly thinking of blaming his support team of Russian hackers....

Interestingly, while i'm still getting the Vbulletin message "invalid redirect IRL" from the main forum, if I log in from a sub forum, it goes straight through.

Odd, but I assume there's a logical non conspiracy explanation. Meanwhile, logging in remains a two step process.

Two days ago the Apple device ive been using to log on here for years now says "safari cannot open page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server"
Its not doing it to any other websites.
Is this happening to anyone else & does anyone have any suggestions for possible fixes?
The device is getting on a bit, but works ok for what i need & still has a bit of room left.

Hello there and everone .

Just want to share my sides of story.
Me too having the troubles (for the last two day i think) This morning just now the system seems doesn't recognize me, but after some repeating chore I managed to log in here.
On other TapaTalk groups I've joined, didn't have such problem.

Getting thousands of guest users doesn't help. session table filling as it's loaded into memory. MySQL max_heap_table_size increased. Will see how it goes.

Was that the cause of the "database error" message?
