Just trying to get buckets for me/my wife. I have all the gear I need. but my wife doesn't really... She has a textile jacket, draggin jeans, gloves, helmet. I would prefer her to be wearing leathers but cant seem to find anything decent (and not too overpriced). Any idea where to get a decent set of leathers for her?

Keep an eye out on TradeMe and perhaps pop up a thread. Surely someone out there has an old pair of leathers or squid suit they are looking to flick off cheaply.

Good luck :)

Here in Wellington, we generally won't let you out without leathers, at the least a two piece zipped together. Personally if you're just wanting something for the Mrs to wear while trying the buckets out see if you can borrow some leathers off someone for a few times, if she wants to continue then look at buying second-hand fellas leathers. I find not a lot of difference in fit between male and female leathers, just a matter of trying them on and sitting on the bike to make sure they fit and don't pull anywhere, and it's not too expensive to have alterations done also. Good luck.
