What's my CR250 worth?

Id like to sell fairly quickly and at a resonable price, its definately not new but it cleans up extremelly well. I dont know how many hours in total but its given me a damn good run. Starts first kick, has been a mint bike for me.

Replaced - linkages, swingarm bearings, wheel bearings front and rear, fork seals, clutch basket and fibres, new chain and sprocket, new pipe (now with one slight ding). Piston and rings done a while back everything looked mint.

What do ya reckon..

forgot to say its a 2003 CR250 lol (own the bike that owned barty lol)

hi i reckon 3300- 3500 would be close to the mark.the market can be fickle but also there are plenty of dreamers on trademe trying to ask over 3 for pre 00,good luck its cool looking bike btw :niceone:

And these days it seems to be finding that someone thats the issue!

I'm in a similar situation with my 05 model except I'm in no rush to sell her (kinda attached haha). Haven't advertised her anywhere but here yet but I think I'd be expecting to get around the $4k mark and probably accept just under if that helps in pricing yours.

She definately looks tidy and it's how they clean up that sells them, and good pics like that one!
I'd say trademe should turn up an EASY 3 grand and up to a possible 4 depending on your luck and how much time you have, it really is a bit of a fingers crossed situation the more you start to ask.

hey rupe, yeah thats my thoughts pretty much, Id be happy with 3k and I think a buyer would get a good deal at that price. New bike in the pipeline, staying with the 2stokes but I dare not say what colour just yet.

Funny...... I never bought into the colour debate..... but even before Ive got it Im getting stick from all angles. lol. Go on take ya best shot, Ill roostya next time im passing. lol

My reasoning for a buying a KTM
1. I dont want a 4 stroke (my opinion they are boring to ride) just my opinion
2. I dont like late model kwaka, suzi, yam, and I wanted a change from honda.
3. I ride 98% in tight trees and more technical stuff
4. the wife told me to buy one, and who am I to argue.. YUSSSS

I can almost guarantee you wont see any orange on it once Ive finished with it though. haha
Guess that makes me old, grey haired and menopausal.... lets not forget that next time Im passing LOL

Jeepers mate I have never read a post on here saying "anything other than Ktm is Crap"? Haven't seen many "go orange" posts here lately due to your sensitivity on the subject. It has certainly killed all that off!
We can't help that the japs don't make 2 smokers no more, we can't help Ktm make damn good bikes, for some strange reason we can't seem to help singing Ktm's praises once we do buy one and we can't change the 2010 shoot out results posted here! But I've never heard anyone call anyone elses bike crap! I think maybe you have the issue? There will always be Ktm, Honda, Kawasaki, Holden, Ford cheer squads, its life.

Btw: I'm actually a Kwaka man of many years owning a 78 Z1R and I've had two CR's and I own a four stroke honda trail bike right now. I'd look at a four stroke if they where anywhere close as cheap to maintain as a 2smoker. But I still like the snap of the 2smoker even though I'd probably go quicker, easier on a four stroke.
