Celebrate Tag #1000



Lets make the 1000 tag a memorable one.

I was thinking we could ALL get together and have a celebratory dinner at a restaurant some where.

kind of like a work do! but not... :blank:

Venue i was thinking about was either Wellington Brewery or Monteiths Bar and Grill Mana by the sandbar...

Please let me know what your thoughts are, alternatives and suggestions welcome.

With the nice summer evenings I was thinking of Watefront Bar at Raumati Beach, lots of parking, beach sports for Eugene & Laxi and drinking for the rest.

OK as we found with tag 300 and tag500 the actual tag and meet are not going to nicely drop into place and at the risk of a repeat of last time making a date and missing it :confused::laugh: I propose a meet as follows

Just something to note....

I went to put this in my calendar and I already have something in there on this day....A while ago Paul (BaldEagle) sent an email regarding a tentative booking for a safety focussed event run by the police to be held in Martinborough on Feb 21.

does anyone else have any info on this? Is it still going ahead? ...on the 21st?

just thought I'd bring it to everyones attention as if this is on at the same time I will no doubt head to Martiborough.

I would be keen on oding the rider training thing in preference if they both end up being on same day. Will ask Stoney to follow up

It's easier to herd feral cats but changing this date would be easy if we have a confirmed clash with the training day in the rapa. otherwise we'll just see here the cats end up .

ok lets see if there is any events planned for February Sunday 14th and 28th and if there are no planned events, then we could look at moving it to one of these date...

depending on how many people will actually 100% turn up for this event we would probably need to book...

at this stage there are only 8 people registered for this, so lets say if we don't make 15 then just cancel this event...

sub 10 people we could just go for a ride to a cafe some where...

The 26th & 27th is out for me as its the Manfeild round of the Nationals for Glen. All good KBers should attend and support Glen and all the NZ top riders going head to head and its FREE to get in. You wont see better racing anywhere else in the country than this round. I am bias but i'm alloud to be :laugh:Dont make me steel the tag and take it up there :msn-wink: The date is set just keep it at that i say, those who come will. Its a tough task to gather us all on any one day we have tried allready two or three times before and there is allways something.

Exactly pick a date and we stick with it, otherwise we'll be debating it when tag 2000 comes up and still miss it.

its on mate the only possible reason is if this training thing clashes..Even then its only worth moving if the majority of people who want to come to this want to go on the training or skills thing instead

Nothing booked it's just a casual turn up whenever, expect they will be pleased to see customers how ever many turn up. Also I think the original post was Monteiths bar which is the one a bit along from the sandbar.
