After 18 years of marriage decided to replace the old lounge suit (not the wife) for a new 3 piece leather one from furniture city for $2,600.00.
Dont like spending the money but the old one was getting and looking pretty tired (again not the wife), so bit the bullet paid the man and gets delivered on Wednesday.
Here's looking for another 18 good years of service

Good on ya. You won't regret spending the cash mate, you can slob out in comfort for years to come.
We bought a new l/s a couple of years ago; it's comfy-as and looks great. More recently we bought a new bedroom suite and the dining suite arrives this month. The stuff should last for years.
I've just finished putting a second coat of undercoat in the hall, so I'm in tonight for sure.
Right now I can hear my bike calling......and I have at least three hours up my sleeve, a full tank of gas and there's enough for a coldie in the wallet.

Personally I'd go for a real nice fabric lounge suite any day. Sticky and hot leather.
Leather car seats are the WORST.

I love our leather lounge suite and lazy boy chairs, like most things, if you treat it good it'll give you many many years of good times ;)
Invest in some good quality leather cleaner and conditioner and do them at least once a year and they'll last you for years and years unlike fabric ones which fade badly and don't seem to stand the test of time, pets and kids so well. JMO. Enjoy!! :)

Leather conditioner is a must do,about 3times a year or more, regularly dust it with damp cloth.
Leather seats in lounge suite are different to a car, leather is as hot as room temperature,so a cool room in summer will give cool seat, likewise a warm room in winter makes leather warm, leather aint like the old vinyl thank god, that was sticky summer and winter.
Doubt it will last 18yrs though, the old kiwi made ones would, nowdays imported ones are bicast leather, and imported hides are not as good as kiwi hides quality wise, but on the other hand one of our suppliers was great, any faults and send chair back and replacement sent no questions asked.
Would I buy one? Yep bloody good value,$3500 2 recliners and 3 seater at todays value, compare that to my ex brother in law wanting similar from NZ maker of $7500 and 15years ago as well.

Our leather lounge suite is a bit sucky Looks comy but needs more lumbar support for my demicentenarian spine), so I moved things around so I can recline in comfort on my ergonomic leather recliner (not part of the suite, and much more comfy, and $1200). Needs a clean+condition, because it was previously inhabited by the grubbyish #1MutantTroglodyteSpawn.
Grrr... and all that...

I just splashed out a small fortune on a new fridge and vaccum cleaner.. mind you it was my idea to buy the fancy vaccum.. missus woulda been happy with a cheapy but i've heard so many good things about Dysons i figured ii'd give one a whirl.
I was having a wee play with with it to break it in, and I thought it was malfucntioning.. every time I did the "back stroke" it had lots of resistance.. checked that the brush bit wasnt down or anything, nope its just got such bloody strong suction you have to actually use some effort to move the bloody thing.. You should see how much dust it pulled out of a recently "cleaned" piece of carpet. I can see why they rate these for asthmatics/allergy sufferers, because othert vaccums suck (pun intended) compared to these beasts.

Yep those Dysons are the shit!! We've got one and it never loses it's suck, even when the tube thing is chocka full of crap, easy to empty and use too. There's something to be said for spending a wee bit more and buying quality eh. :)
