Given that the search function is slightly unreliable just now, I am asking a question that may have been posed before...

After 1000km in three days on the standard SV650 seat, my bum bones are still complaining...so what do we do about that?

The Amerikan SVRider forum talks about Corbin and Sargent seats. What's available here in NZ? Anything? Or does someone have a useful suggestion?

And yes, I have run out of HTFU pills - had to use all of them on the trip.

Thanks team.

visit father in law @ McDonald Motor Trimmers.

He does the "Rider" custom motorcycle seats.

We use the standard seat base and modify the foam/cover to suit your needs (www.trimit.co.nz) note website is old.

Thanks Cajun - I had just found a previous post that told me exactly that..! Sod's law I guess.

I'll save my pennies and get it done one day -after I pay the creditors...

...or if you are a reasonably handy sort give it a go yourself... this web site has LOTS of good tech info about foam, design etc http://www.diymotorcycleseat.com/index.php

If I had a fat bum there wouldn't be the problem would there?

Maybe I should just eat more pies....
