Sadly had to leave Auckland and Pukekohe/Hampton Downs behind to move to the Windy City and now call Manfield my local track.

Moved into a house in town today and will try and get to grips with where all the bike shops/bars are soon.

I'll try and get along to a VMCC club night soon but in the meantime....ello all you other Wellingtonian racers....:scooter:

Welcome down to the better half of the north island! Were you at manfeild yesterday? Was excellent weather for it!

Welcome to Windy Welly, living up to it's name today! Don't worry, occasionally the wind does drop below gale force! Take a walk south down Courtney Place to the very end and you'll see The Embasey Theatre (make sure you take in a movie there, Tuesday is their cheap ticket day) and then next door has some great coffee and then next to that is one of the best bike shops in Welly region, go in and say Hi to Pete. Welly's an awesome place, I'm sure you'll get to like it!:)

Welcome to Wellywood mate :)
I'm not "from" Wellington - I came here for a fortnight 30 years ago - I might stay.

err no not me at Manfield but I'll be up there soon. Not sure it would have gone down that well with my wife stopping off at Manfield for a some track time on route to Wellington.

I did manage a full day at Hampton Downs the 1st day the packers arrived however..... I will undoubtedly regret that choice over the next few weeks as me being absent that day was not exactly popular
