Not even the middle of January,............ and we've got mushrooms on the lawn!!!

............ in the Bay of Plenty, no less, and it's hot, hot, hot. Mind you, where they've popped up is under the shade of a couple of trees and I water my garden most evenings.

Very strange, though and yummy in a summer salad.:niceone:

Do they make you see everything in shades of purple and allow you to talk to ladders?

Hahaha... They look so good too and they've got a mass of black spores under the ones that have been there a day or so. I guess there's a little micro climate going on under those trees just right for them.

I Love mushrooms! Fried in butter and salt of course... but pretty much in any style will do!
