After a long time in the shed, and $6k of parts, its finally on the road!. Formerly a 650C frame with a 79 motor, the only think not replaced or hopped up is the big end. For once, even the handbrake had nothing to say!...apart from "I think I might like to get a bike now" so its all good then really ay?.

Very nice job ICUJ

What'd it start life as, an F or an SF series? Any before pics?

Great to see, nice rebuild. I used to have a '74 XS 650B which I enjoyed hugely. Sadly I left it in storage to quietly deteriorate until a guy offered to buy and restore it. Lots of fun but in hindsight not a bike which handled well. Not that it mattered, I didn't know any better, heaps of power and riding a loud parallel twin gave me all the thrills I needed. And the girlfriend. :D

now that is nice! -Im loving how the seat cowling, seat and fairing go so well together.
The flames rock too - when can we see it on the street?
