oh I have plenty to do between now and then. I have learnt patience...this plan has been in the pipeline for quite some time. Nice to have it slowly come to fruition. And also, because I wait I hve time to come down between each high....the BHST was high one. Today was big high two......it's kinda like making the most out of a good situation. Making it last....and as Jack (Titantic) said "Making it count"

was discussing that very thing at the bike shop this morning. though i was a little more concerned with stalling. They told me a story of a man who bought a bike (40K), rode off with a wave, first roundabout and some twat didn't give way, he was pushing the bike back saying 'fix it please' within 10 minutes of leaving the store.

It does happen.

As Genie's have magical powers I'm sure my only hiccup will be a massive stalll!!!!

big congrats genie! Good on you! Best bit of advice I can give you is to look where you put your foot down! That was my first and last bin , if you can call it that! Came up to an intersection and the others in the group had parked in the middle of the lane so I went to the left of the lane by the curb, came to a stop, put my foot down and there was nothing there! It happened in such slow motion it was hilarious!!
Well done you!!

Congrats on both giving up smoking and getting into biking.

Did them both myself last year - two of the best things I have ever done.

Remember take it easy at the start - lots of practicing in quiet areas while you get the feel of the bike. I just rode around the block for the first week or two, every night after work. Then ventured out a little further as I felt more confident.

I still kick myself that I didn't get into biking years ago - all that time sitting in a boring cage!

Have fun and take care - those nelson drivers sound a bit dangerous.
