Need advice on 250cc 4 strokes

Looking at buying new bike to race in Nationals. Ive got a Yamaha YZF250 and looking at KTM 2010 SXF 250. Know everyone has favourites and own opinions but would appreciate a little advice cos I havent got $12000 to just chuck away.

Hmm, if only there was some sort of group that could test these various bikes and were skilled enough writers to record thoughts about the findings & distribute them in some sort of convenient medium.
