Last ride my mate went on he managed to crack his swing arm on his YFZ450 Race Quad which he recently just fitted with a stronger axels and carrier worth over 2g.
We are now trying to find a second hand swing arm lying around or if any body is wrecking a 2004 Raptor 450 can you please let me no.
2004 and 2005 have same part number so i guess a 2005 one will do.

SUGGESTED FIX:1 Build a box just large enough to fit Quad in. 2 put quad in box. 3 fill box with concrete. 4 leave to set. Viola, crack filled and one more bloody quad off the trails.

Whats a quad ?
Why can't you just weld it up and gusset it ?

Where it broke i couldnt see welding being to effective this quad is used to jump FMX ramps so wasnt to keen on trusting a repaired one. Did track one down all sorted now :)

trouble is though, basic sections of trails seem to be beyond the capabilities of 95% of quad riders- thats why everybody hates quads- because they make such excellent roadblocks

Much the same with you two wheelers in the sand and bogs, although you just fall over so we can just use you as extra traction.

the great thing about a stuck 2 wheeler, is that you can ride around them...

The problem i had when i rode a quad was you got stuck behind 2 wheelers in the bush and you were at perfect roost eating height. It also turned my 2 wheeler riding to shit.

two wheelers at a bog are like blow flies on a nerd, two wheelers are always stationary and crawling like flies

maybe, but when was the last time you heard of a 2 wheeler rolling down a hill & damn near killing someone at the bottom.
They're alot of fun sure, but unfortunately when they go wrong they don't just take out their riders they take out people around them & that's why I'm not a fan.
Who holds up who is bench racing, though this video is pretty classic

The problem is most people that ride quads just dont want to go fast, but i know a few quad riders that will smoke most 2 wheeler riders on a mx track or a semi open trail loop im only sticking up for those few. Stuff the rest. Was good back in the day when quads used to race in super x events :)
