You Auckland bikers are some hard mofos. Much respect...

Christchurch
- People speed up to go through red lights
Auckland
- People run reds just the same, but don't bother speeding up, even if it's red when they run it (i.e. not a late orange)

Christchurch
- People will turn in front of you assuming there's just enough time to do so, it's tight
Auckland
- People will turn in front of you even if there's not enough time, assuming you'll hit the picks

Christchurch
- Everyone is basically a cnut to anyone who wants to get in their lane
Auckland
- On the one hand following distances don't mean shit, but on the other, they're happy for you to squeeze in

Rush hour must be a bundle of laughs

Definitely not better or worse at either city, they're both retarded, it's just a different type of retardation. Well done New Zealand, you guys are just awesome drivers  :2thumbsup

Well, it does keep motorcycling interesting - even without having to break the speed limit. :woohoo:

I'd been given to understand that it was just Christchurch drivers who were shit.

Overall cardrivers aren't half as bad as made out here in some posts..............

However i have to admit that riding the harley with 3 headlights on seems to be a lot easier around town then on my nimble Aprilia.......

Only had one instance on Harley where i was getting deliberately "sqeezed", and yes that driver came from a country where rice features strongly in daily diet
and yes, steelcapped size 10 motorcycle boots can brake down the language barrier......

Quite true. They are much worse.

Don't forget the illegal right turn from carparks even with islands blocking the way, that they have to drive on the wrong side off road before getting on to their side off the road! oh & this is just before a bend so oncoming traffic have little time to react duh! ...just because they don't want to drive 10m to the otherside off carpark to come out onto a road that goes in direction they want.

I've seen a guy in Auckland anticipate the green (saw the other traffic slowing for the orange/red) and put his foot down.

It went green a micro second before he entered the intersection doing about 80.

The mind boggles.
