Cult 1990’s cartoon ‘Biker Mice from Mars’ is back in production.

Twenty-six 30 minute episodes are to be filmed, under the guidance of Rick Ungar, who produced the original show.

The series is scheduled to appear in the UK on GMTV in Autumn 2006. Broadcast rights for much of Europe have been secured, Asia-Pacific region rights are being handled by Philippines Animation Studio (PASI).

In case you don’t remember the original (where were you?), go to http://www.bikermice.com/ for more information.

Gang of Seven (G7) Animation has begun production on 26 new episodes of the early 1990s series ‘Biker Mice from Mars’. The new series follows Throttle, Modo and Vinnie back to Earth as they attempt to recover the stolen Regenerator, which is vital to the continued survival of Mars and is now in the hands of Chicago billionaire developer Ronaldo Rump.

Tom Tataranowicz, G7 said “The update of Biker Mice provides opportunities to expand the characters and landscape of the series while continuing the irreverent humor which made the show so popular the first time around.”
