Bogs between 4,500 and 5,500 rpm
Doesn't accelerate in top gear
Idles like a dream and runs well up to 4k rpm
Head seems to run really hot (relative to my watercooled bikes?)
One plug was a nice brown, the other was a little on the white side
Completely standard bike but with an 'open' cycleworks muffler which I'm guessing has ruined the jetting.
I have checked coils, new plugs, cleaned carbs, cleaned air filter, changed oil
My guess is that the mains is too small, and this is worst just as it is supposed to be transitioning onto the CVs. Have opened up the carb and found a 117.5 mains, was going to pick up a pair of 122 or thereabouts tomorrow and see what happens, other option is to pack the needles to raise them half a mm or so.
Any opinions? does anyone have the standard spec for these bikes?
