Front page article today explaining how James Cameron, director of Avatar, came up with the language the blue aliens in the film speak. Using a language expert, it was created by blending Maori with languages of Europe and Africa.

I find this quite amusing as I think about tomorrows headline reading something along the lines of "Maori plan lawsuit against James Cameron/Avatar for theft of language, seek compensation."

They'll be looking to make a dollar out of it somehow.

Imagine the shit that would be flying if they had busted out a Haka.......

But I'd imagine the barest mention of anything Maori will bring the scoundrels running.

He should've kept that one locked up in a vault at the bottom of the sea. It'll be safe there. Oh wait, forgot about the seabed thing.
