Well the boss has finally come to see what i've been trying to tell him. He ripped his knee doing his usual tae kwon do stuff, oooo about a year ago now, had some intensive physio, got him mobile again, he's following the regimne that has been prescribed for rehabilitation and found out that he needs an op to fix his knee properly. Apparently computer says NO, so he's got to just get on with a sore knee and thus endeth his tae kwon do career and teaching classes for life... ACC strikes again... Who's Next?

We'll be seeing A LOT more of those sort of tales. The time to be real noisy about it hasn't gone. Yet.

I had a bit of that with my back a few years ago. When it finally fell to bits it took a helluva job to persuade ACC that it wasn't wear and tear. I have a friend with an injury that also needs an op to fix. ACC not very interested there either, he'll have to live with pain until it all falls to bits too, I guess.

Best of luck to your boss. My advice is keep at the bastards, they may give in before his knee does.

Fark me that sounds like a nightmare. I would have thought being told no, would be akin to fraud. They took your money under the pretence that they'd look after you and all???

Ha ha, i'll pass it on... he's already entering the appeals process...

But they don't cover injuries a year after unless you hurt it again...
