Hi guys,

Just graduated from NZ Maritime School in Auckland with a Diploma in Shipping and Freight. Got my IATA/FIATA Air Cargo and Dangerous Goods Cert. Customs trained, so I am capable to taking the PIN exam. Basic knowledge in Cargo Consolidation, Agency Practice, Import/Export, Container Practice, Transport Law and Freight Technology.

Enthusiastic and keen.

Need a entry level position based in Auckland, will also consider part time work and work experience.

Got work? Suggestions? Leads?

You can have mine. Not entry level, but you'll pick it up. Looking at some of the retards in the industry, it can't be that hard.

Go do the PIN exam - makes you much more valuable to a forwarder (if you pass it of course).

Register with all the recruitment companies you can find. Team, Star and Oneills are all good.

White Trash works for one too - he may have his ear closer to the ground than I. His company is at the airport (with most of them) and mine's in the City.

Suggestions:
Run away. Run far away; and
You're way too overqualified to be in forwarding (especially with the enthusiastic and keen bit - most of them are surly and reluctant. Work on that).....

Hey cheers, just hit me up.

I'll take it.

City is way closer than the Airport but currently I am up for anything.

Just replied to your PM mate.

It just so transpires that we could be looking for someone. I'm concerned at your keen-ness however, I've never encountered that in the industry before and it scares me. In saying that, I've never worked in an industry wher you can be promoted so quickly. Mostly due to the large number of drongos I think. No shit, I have no qualifications or outside training. I started sweeping the floor in the stores two years ago, I'm now looking after the 4 biggest key accounts for the branch single handedly. Initiative is definitely rewarded.
