As the title says. I am a member of the couchsurfing community

https://www.couchsurfing.org/index.html

We have hosted a few people and had great fun doing it and for our upcoming trip to new zealand would like to couchsurf as much as possible. Not so much to save money, (that,s a bonus though) but as way of meeting the locals and finding out about their local areas etc.

Was wondering if anyone here is a member (or even if your not) and if you would be interesting in hosting us overnight as we make our way around both islans in Feb/Mar

have already got a few couches lined up on the Nth Island, but none of them are bike riders. Would be cool to hook up with a few bike riders and perhaps go for a ride etc.
p.s. I have seen quite a few posts here where people have offered to host people, but they were quite old and i am not sure if the offers still stand, so thought would I start a new thread.

Cheers

Awesome. You had me thinking of riding a couch down a slippery hill.

Yeah, we are newbie Couchsurfers too, but sorry no use to you as we are (Kiwi's) presently in Bahrain. We joined more to host people, - but may use it also in a year or 2 as we travel.

Hi all
Have receiced a few pms with offers, which is great. Unfortunately I can't reply to pm's as I am a newbie and don't have enough posts. (not sure how many post I need either)
But thanks for your offers anyway. We are sorted for the Nth Island, but if your on the Sth and have a bed availaable we woul love to hear from you.

Cheers

Our thread may be old, but we still host motorcyclists. We could be able to offer you two a bed for the night but it would depend on when you were passing through as we've got several car (yes, but they're American/classic cars!) events both months. Let us know if any of the North Island beds in our area don't pan out.

By the way, I thought at first you meant the posters were quite old rather than the posts and got a tad indignant!

My wife is trying to couchsurf in Sydney - a big city like that and no one is couchsurfing.
