Hmm
im a huge acdc fan of the bon scott era. now, whilst being a fellow geordie and in the know of people that are good friends and rellies of brian johnson whilst never having met him myself...........i just cant get away with his voice. i think the gig may spoil my adolescent imagery of them
however, if i could get a ticket going real cheap........i think i'd go!. you going to auckland or wellington?

I'M GOING I'M GOING!!!!!!! OMFG, can't wait! Wellie Thursday night concert. Breaking out all my bogan gear (Am a hutt chick - upper that is - from waaaaaay back) - mini skirt, F-me boots, black eyeliner etc etc......... Taking Friday off work and plan to have no voice, no eardrums and be incapable of moving from the chest up (due to excessive headbanging!) Hell, might even be a real loser and go back on the sat night and just sit outside the stadium and listen!!!!!

now, u mention the police...........as one of their biggest ever fans i kid you not, i went to see them at western springs. when they were touring originally i was a kid and my mum wouldnt bloody let me go!
i have seen sting live a couple of times. anyhoo went to see the police and was dissapointed.........spoiled my childhood illusion.......they are in their 50's plus now and just dont have that energy anymore
i am still glad i went but........ well, not what it shoulda been for me. i was born 10 years tooo early.

I drunkenly agreed with a mate when it was announced. Then I saw the $160 price tag and thought fuck that for a bag of semi-digested turtle guts but the cnut went and bought the tickets.

What a fucking rip off.
How so?
I'd blow $160 having a big night at the boozer, or an evening at a restaurant, or on a service for the bike, and its not like I'd remember any of those events until the day I died.
AC/DC are going to rock like fuck, and so is the crowd.

What a waste, it costs me about $4 to have a big night out on the piss. Servicing the bike on the other hand...not cheap. If you pay that much for entertainment you're getting ripped off.

Buy a still, distill some spirit, offer it to females, and as they say, the rest is history.

I knew Brian back in the day's when he was working the North-East club circuit in Newcastle as the front man of a band called Geordie.
I was driver and road crew with a band who's keyboard player was a relative of his (brother in law or something - can't quite remember).
Even after Brain got the job with AC/DC, he still came along to see the guy's play whenever he was in town. The fame didn't bother him. He was still just one of the guy's. I remember a young kid coming up to him for an autograph one night and asking him if he was going to get up and sing. His response was 'why do you want to listen to me scream when you can listen to that guy on stage. He CAN sing'.
Lost contact with all of the guy's in the band a long time ago. So looks like I will be in with the masses to enjoy the gig.

i agree mate i can't beleive people think $160 is to much to spend on seeing 1 of the greatest rock bands but i bet the same tossers would have spend $140 to go see the black eyed peas play and they were absolutly crap from what friends have told me.I think $160 is an investment it is the first time i will have seen them live and i will never get the chance to see them again.

Fantastic show, but thumbs down to the solo - due to length and tidyness heh.

Haven't seen so many bogans since I moved out of Upper Hutt!
Anyone else riding along the northwestern get turned away by police at the St. Lukes turnoff? I saw at least 3 other bikes get waved away from the turnoff...

A fantastic concert, every set brilliant, Brians voice aint changed, Angus can still pull some amazing riffs, Malcolm still as reliable as ever on guitar. Fukin loved it. A bit deaf today and have a bloody headache and the munchies all day, probably a result of all the passive dack smoking that went on.
Had to feel sorry for the chick that fainted thirty seconds into the first song, missed the lot I guess.
Oh and thanks to all the chicks that 'got them out' for the lads during 'The Jack" awesome.
Anyone know how many were there? looked as big as the Rolling Stones if not bigger. Had no issues getting home, in bed with my tinitus by 11:45.
Had to break into my own topbox when I got back to the bike, my key had snapped off in the lock, all fixed now for the princley sum of $7.

Great concert! Worth every cent, awesome crowd too!
Happened to get right down onto the field and under one of the video screens without getting squashed but still getting the good sound and visual of the stages, aching and darn tired! ( Anyone hit the roadworks goin south afterwards??)
Being the 3rd concert I've enjoyed - I'm still a fan - The lads STILL know how to rock a party, blardy good and no stress fun!!!!!:woohoo:

3hrs to get back to Hamilton was a bit of a joke, but shit happens.
Me n kanny were left side of the catwalk stage about 30mts from the main stage.

No major getting there, fashionably late lol, left concert at 11.30pm, off Motorway at 2.30 am, back in tga 5am this morning.
I was concerned on the amount of people held up crawling bumper to bumper, for 3 hours on the motorway to Pukekohe turnoff, at that time of the morning, and still having to get somewhere after a big day, that was some unnecesary road carnage waiting to happen. Hopefully everyone got home safely.
