Thanks to Frosty and Bad Lieutenant for your sterling mechanical problem solving yesterday in dismantling and rebuilding my RF when it died outside Whenua Tapu yesterday. All my electrical contacts are now nice and clean.
Thanks to Hitcher, Jazbug, Celtic Sea Lily, Tazman, and everyone else who's names I've temporarily forgotten who all helped and kept us company as well.
And no thanks at all to the gormless twat who failed to diagnose the hairline crack in the main 10A fuse...
... fuck I feel like an idiot. I ruined 90 minutes riding time for ten people.
Sorry folks. Won't happen again.
At least it was a fun ride over Paekakariki Hill on the way back...

Ohh so NOW he accepts it was his stuff up :devil2:
Sall good bro. there were 8 other people who shoulda checked the fuses too I guess.
In your defence a couple of things i forgot to mention.
when I was scramblig around under the fairing the main off on switch plug made a decent Click noise.
and I was shorting across the top of the starter solenoid with a screwdriver so I may have blown the fuse for ya after the fact.
There ya go mate --some straws to grasp at.
Ohh and am I enjoying taking the piss outa ya -OHH YEA :devil2:

"Gormless twat"? I resent that!
"Blind dickhead", more like.
Did anybody see my white stick and guide dog? I've mislaid them somewhere...

Don't forget that if the fault had been diagnosed earlier, we wouldn't have had a chance to talk with Sam's folks. To everything there is a purpose under heaven.

Ah Hitcher - I was actually talking about myself there mate. I was after all the one who checked every bloody fuse BEFORE allowing anyone to pick up a tool.
The fact that you double-checked them alters nothing - I still feel bad about it...
But yes, talking to Sam's folks was good.

Hey I just thought about it - another thing we've got in common.
Neither of us can hold up our bikes when they lean over 60° from vertical....

Well done guys, its always great to see people out and about willing to sacrifice riding time to help a fellow rider diagnose a problem.
I guess it also teaches a lesson to me, who should also check fuses

Rarely has a truer mouthful been spoken :niceone:
Should've got a photo when the bike was lying in 50 million bits all over the road! Heh.

Of course if y'all hadn't been pissing about the bike wouldn't have overheated and maybe the fuse wouldn't have blown...
BTW nice shots of me texting the wife with yet another excuse for getting home late. You've really captured my svelte figure perfectly :msn-wink:
... what's that about the camera adding 20 pounds? More like 20 kilos....
anyway the fuse hasn't blown yet so it must just be one of those Suzuki things I'm going to have to get used to...
Cheers for all your help guys.
