Jason Easton wins the first F3 race and breaks the lap record in the process. Told ya he had the Tigcraft sorted this season Frosty.

Excellent to see that after the second session Shirriffs and Hayden are at the top of the sheets. Hopefully one of them can finally get that first National win monkey off his back.

Jaden Hassen looks strong in the 125s and Nick Cole and James Smith are business as usual at the front of the 600s.

Seems like the boys n girls are liking the new track surface, fast times being set by all.

It would be great to see a Honda up front in SBK's, that monkey needs a good kick up the arse for those boys.

Andrew had old tyres on until qualifying

He's a canny ol' bugger and he knows that qualifying isn't really worth jack and spends all his time setting up the bike for worn tyres, which is how most of the race is run. He's fitter than he has been for a while and anybody who beats him will have well and truly earned it.

While I'd like to see Stroudy win to extend the championship lead I'd also love to see Craig doin' the business up the front. He's done some hard yards on that Honda and it would be great to see his efforts rewarded. Should be a good 'un!

shitloads of corners, although watching him at ruapuna he dropped back a bit I wondered whether his brakes were fading as He's only got one front disc fitted. This may not be the case as there's more corners at levels closer together??

The only reason Andrew would be on used tyres, is that he forgot to fit new ones, he isn't very well organized. He is a great talent though. And qualifing is very important.

A titanic battle between Nick Cole and James Smith saw a new lap record by cole . With Cole turning an outstanding 1:04.809 lap which would allowed him to qualify on the second row of the superbike race.

How it was James Smith who covered Cole on the last lap with Cole running of the track at the sweeper off the back straight. Re-joining to finish 5.668 behind Smith.

John Ross finished a distant 3rd but is still in 3rd in the Championship.

Smith heads for Round4 of series at Manfeild in one months time leading Cole by 6 points. Smith 126 and Cole 120.

1) James Smith
2) Nick Cole
3) John Ross
4) Karl Morgan
5) Jay Lawrence
6) Dennis Charlett
7) Glen Skachill
8) Dominic Jones
9) Jamie Galway

The only reason Andrew would be on used tyres, is that he forgot to fit new ones, he isn't very well organized. He is a great talent though. And qualifing is very important.

Nup, at Ruapuna I was pitted with him and he went to great pains to use old tyres and keep using old tyres during practice. We had stacks of new tyres on hand. After my crash I tinkered with the bike and realised I could get it rideable and was just gonna have a play in clubman's (the bike still wasn't flash) and threw some new boots on the bike as a lil' "feel-good" gesture. Andrew (well, Keiran his spanner man) went to the trouble of hunting down my old tyres (left with Kerry Dukie) to use, rather than use some of the stacks of new ones we had on hand.

Barring a dodgy weather scenario as at Ruapuna, Andrew can throw on some new tyres and qualify for the front row in his sleep so qualifying isn't a big issue. The last 5 laps are the key.

Another great days racing. We went down today, the 2nd 600 race was worth the admission price alone.

What's the trick with that place? It seems to always throw up really close racing. Haven't made it there yet but can't wait to check it out.

I saw you go down in the second race Choppa, was hoping it wasn't you but when the pack came through saw your bike missing. Good to see you get up apparently uninjured, plenty of time until the next round to get the bike and yourself sorted.
