Have just been doing some research online and found some reasonable policies for my R6 for around $450. Fully comp. Is this good or do you know of anyone that may be cheaper. (im 36). This is with State and Kiwibike.
Would be good to have a Sticky somewhere on the forum for recommended companies !
Cheers

Depends on your excess.

Classic Cover were the best that I found. I would suggest you get as many quotes as you can.

I'm sure there are threads on this - do a search. I used Star Insurance which paid out (sob) without any argument. $750 excess on the Ducati.

Probably should be mentioned that the cheapest is not always the best.
Look past the price and check with people who have had claims with the particular company you might be thinking of.
If you ever do have to make a claim, you want it to be as painless a process as possible and also end up with as much money in your pocket as possible.
Ask more than one or two as well, you'll get a lot of varying replies and you'll have to read between the lines - some peoples troubles with insurance companies aren't always the fault of the company concerned, despite what the insured person may tell you.......
Kiwibike & Classic Cover seem to rate highly. Personally I have both my bikes with AMI and get a good deal, but I also have quite a bit of other business with them too. One claim some time ago which was paid quickly and fuss free. Others of course will have different stories....
As Winston says above, do a search - there have been many threads on this subject.
Good luck :)

I would stick with Kiwibike. Remember they are brokers so have searched out the best deal for you - also with a broker you get some backup when dealing with insurance companies. I've just made a claim and am with Kiwibike. Couldn't recommend them enough.

The true measure of an insurance company is how they deal with claims, not how cheap the premiums are.
If you have all your insurance with one company, test the water once in a while.
Thats why I'd never deal with *** again....

Protecta have just bought out new rates. Their premiums & excesses are pretty good now. I am pretty sure you do the quote on line.
