Hey girls, I havn't posted much of late or hardly at all for that matter;)... hardly find the time to get on here is the problem. Anyway I just wanted to share my excitement of how I feel about Hampton Downs Track. Well it is blinkin awesome and I'm not a racer girl by any means! I do however help out down there at the Hampton Downs Ride Days and at the California Superbike School www.californiasuperbikeschool.co.nz which I thoroughly recommend doing... you don't even have to have done any track time to do the school as its for anyone who wants to learn how to ride a motorcycle with your full control and it doesn't even matter what you ride too... cruiser or sports bike, whatever you ride you will be blown away by just how much you do learn, yep even if ya been riding 25 years I bet ya anything you will learn heaps. Anyway enough of me going on about that. My purpose of this thread is to get more girls down there doing some track time, it is the most funnest thing on a motorcycle I tell ya. I was thinking the other day, there are hardly any girls coming to these days and believe me I get bored seeing all these guys turning up and only a few girls... lets get more girls down there and if there is enough interest who knows there could even have a girls day only... yee haaa. Anyway please girls check it out www.hamptdondownsridedays.co.nz So should you decide to venture down, come and say hello, I'm Jen and I'm on the registration desk and I'm more than happy to show ya round and help you out anyway I can. And just for the record, I in no way benefit from sending this email other than for my own personal fun of being able to ride round the track with more girls... so c'mon... on yer bikes!;)

I will be soon. A bunch of the SATNR crew put some $ together and gave me a trackday for my 21st. I just need to decide when to use it.

Can't wait to get down there. A group of us are currently investigating getting the track for a day and I'm impatiently waiting for this.
Would love to do the California bike school thing too, but can't afford it at the moment. Maybe some one will put some $$$ together for my 21st (2nd one )

Me and froggy are planning on doing the superbike school thing at the end of the year.
I think maybe discounted prices for ladies track days is a cool idea, but hamptons is very far and very pricey, maybe taupo or manfield?

No way... Hampton Downs is the track to ride... nothing like Taupo or Manfield. Once you ride it you will know what I am talking about. Very technical track that you will never ever get bored with. You can even stay at the Hampton Downs Lodge if you are travelling from afar. Very nice apartments I must say... stayed there a few times now. Only $240 sleeps up to 5 people... not much once you split the cost eh. ;)

A few people have suggested track days as a really good way to get to know your bike etc. Have checked it out and are keen to get down there! Just wondering what you would suggest as to how much previous riding prior? I have only been riding a few months and are still building my confidence ( which was knocked a tad after coming off) I have just spent the afternoon watching episodes of california superbikes woohoo i wanna ride like that! I'd be keen on a girls day too.

We live about 8mins away from Hampton Downs track, my hubby has done a track day there and is hooked, he is currently building a dedicated track day bike My turn soon! I have popped in to the track days when Ive had the time and Jens right, its is a fantastic track ,and from what I saw the Days are really well run. Trudes after a full rebuild my bucket is nearly ready to race so make that 2 and we could have a bit of fun.
