whos got a bead/sand blaster? i wanna prep my back wheel for painting... which brings me to my next question.
What is the best method for painting wheels? What sorta prep is needed and what is the best paint/other coating to use? Im wanting to paint them the same colour as the bike, otherwise i'll just blast'em and polish them.
cheers

I wonder how a Kaleidoscope paint job would look on my CBRs rims
Powder coating is best for long life & nice finish...IMHO.

whats the cost like for powder coating? And how closely would i be able to match the colour of the powder coat to matt black?
PC is probably more expensive than painting, but not so much so, and worth it. Matt black won't be a problem, only gets harder the glossier you go.
Looked at powder coating as an option for the wheels of my Zundapp when I was doing it up - large number of years ago now. The cost didn't seem too frightening and I considered myself pretty impoverished back then. Ring around, get quotes. My understanding is it is more resilient than paint.

I was quoted about 50 per wheel for a previous cage. And they do any colour under the sun.
So it shouldn't be too much more or less for a bike.
