I am having a problem with my sv650 and I beleive it to be the fuel pump.

When I start my bike up from cold it runs fine for about 30 seconds and then slowly dies. I will restart it and when I hold a constant throttle the bike will rev low for a period of time before rising up to the correct rev range. Both cylinders are getting hot so it is not running on one.

So that being said I am after a replacement fuel pump. If anyone has a spare pump for sale that would be awesome. The pump is the same for a '03-'04 GSXR1000 and '03-'08 SV650 and I think the same years for sv1000.

If anyone has one for sale or if anyone has a better idea what my problem might be please PM me.

Do you use the choke?(or fast idle, as some call it) I use to use it to get mine started from cold. but never ever held the throttle open......... too much fuel and it would choke it to death. I only use the choke for a very short while. Had mine for 9 years, and never had to replace the fuel pump......
