Barley malt usually contains about 25% unfermentable sugars; these sugars contain carbohydrates which could lead to weight gain when consumed in excessive amounts. low carb beer has been around overseas for years. I had thought that San miguel light was a low alcohol beer but its a low calorie beer with the same alchohol content
