Puncture repairs!

Hey there anyone whoes listening.....I've been looking for a repair kit for a TUbed Tyre. Been to 3 bike shops this arvo and no one had anything for a tubed tyre. Repco had some slim but no compressed air. I'm thinking I'm not the only one on the planet with Tubes, so where do we go to get something that can plug the hole and fill the tyre???
I don't want to keep pushing my luck with weekend trips away to remote areas without a means of getting to a servo after a flat.

Help me if you can I'm feeling down, and I do appreciate you being round.:woohoo:

I have an Innovations puncture repair kit on my bike. It is aimed at the tubeless market, but does contain tyre levers and patches and glue, so you could use it on tubes. Try Cycletreads, it would surprise me if they couldn't supply. Or if you want to travel, try Scott at Mr Motorcycles in Pukekohe, he should also be able to help.

Puncture repair from anywhere....mitro 10 even,
you will need tyrelevers however from bikeshop...
and as far as compressed air and slime etc goes, you are better off with little handpump from bicycle shop....
doesn't run out.....

oh, and you may want to "practice" taking your tyre off at home.....
see how you go....

Cheers, trid cyclespot but they never had, last stop was motomail, and they had an aero can that would plug and inflate TUBED tires.
The problem with doing a proper repair on the side of the road is I need to loose the exausts etc to get to the sharft driven back wheel.

All good now tho, at least now I can head off into the sun without stressing over the trip home again.

Has anyone ever had success with "Slime" (green shit in a tube) repairing puctures in tubes? I tried some a while back after a flat (pinched tube - and I paid money to have that tyre fitted). The tyre didn't stay up very long at all after being slimed, and it made a hell of a mess inside. Two more attempts to repair the tube with patches failed as the slime left in the tube got under the patch and caused it to lift.

Had slime in one tire, it just went hard and did zippo. Used tire pando twice and on both cases it didn't work.

Sorry for the bad news, I just take the tire off and fix it properly. You can always join the AA and make it their problem.
