CDMTCI Manfeild Track Day, 3 April 2010 (Easter Saturday)
Yes folks, it's that time again, time for another blat around the track at Manfeild.
Just $50 per person. Slow, medium, fast and race sessions.
All glass to be taped, bikes to be of WOF standard.
Full bike gear (gloves, helmet, boots, riding pants and jacket) to be worn.
Valid driver's licence to be produced on the day.
One bike/one rider.
Scrutineering starts at 8am.
Maximum number of 160 bikes, first in first served.
This is arguably New Zealand's cheapest and best-run track day, just ask anyone who's been to one in the last 20 years!
For more information, please contact club president Andrew Pugh on 0274 463 870.
As an experiment, this time we are taking a limited number of prebookings. Check out our website for details - http://www.cdmtc.org.nz/
Please note - you MUST add your FULL NAME (first and last name) as the reference for your prebooking. We have since been advised that the National Bank is not adding the reference to payments made over the counter, so if the bank does not have the facility to do this, you will need to bring along your receipt to prove a deposit was made into our account for the track day. It probably wouldn't hurt to send an email via our website to let us know who you are, when you paid, and who the booking is for.

Just curiously, will they stick to the 120 max thing??
I know the last one I went to went crazy...it was a nice day and so many people turned up and they ended up having way way way more than 120....made for a bit of a crazy day!!!
Being easter sunday and all I think even more people might turn up!

That should be obvious - one is on the track days section of the forum and the other is in the club section. As it is run by CDMTCI, we often get people asking when our next track day is so I started a post in there, as I do for ALL our track days and events. There are also many people who are only interested in attending track days and have no idea who runs them, which is why there is a thread under track days. I take it you won't be attending then?

When we check our online banking it appears that some people have made deposits without any name as a reference, which is making things difficult for us. In some cases when a printout of the account is done it does have the names, but please ensure you have your banking receipt with you on the day in case there are any problems. This seems to be a problem with over the counter deposits as the National Bank is only allowing numerical references. Some of you have apparently put in your mobile number as a reference which is a start, but if you have made a deposit where you have been unable to add your name as a reference, it won't hurt to contact the club and let us know. Tell us when and where you made the deposit and how much it was for (some have paid for more than one person) and who will actually be attending the track day.

Hi I have prepaid and will be coming along on Saturday to the trackday. The cdmtc website says scutineering starts at 9am, you are saying here 8am. Is it just because of high interest you've changed to 8am or is it really 9am? I am travelling a far way so just wanted to know how early to make sure I get thru in time.
Cheers David

Manfeild used to have a later time that we could gain access to the track, so we had to allow time for everything to be set up before scrutineering began. Now we can get in earlier and as we have increased the maximum number of places to 160, we have decided on an earlier start time for scrutineering.

That's great to hear you all had a good time. We try and organise the weather and this year we were lucky again! It was nice to know there were no serious offs and people appreciated the work put in by club members to organise and run the day.

Thanks for a great, well run day CDMTCI. Special thanks for having a pre register and pay option. Made checking in very easy and knowing I had a spot pre-booked made the morning drive to the track very relaxed. I know you guys had a few hassles with names not showing on your account if people paid at the bank. Maybe make this option only available for internet banking only?

yep. another awesome day.. the turnround times seemed ALOT faster and more smoothly run this time.. I liked having to sign into a group and having that group called while previous group on track and then striaght out. Worked real good.

It was my first ever track day and I'm still giggling like a schoolgirl after finding stuff in my R6 I've never been able to do previously. Also there were plenty of hardened Pros around that offered advice freely - well worth it!
Big thanks and thumbs up to the CDMTCI! :)

No final decision has yet been made as to whether we will continue with prepay or not but this will certainly be discussed at committee meetings before the next track day. If we decide to continue with that option, some changes may need to be made to ensure its smooth operation as it was not entirely problem-free for those monitoring the payments.
Keep checking our club website for details: http://www.cdmtc.org.nz/

Was my first time on the track, can't put a price on the advice recieved from some of the more seasoned riders (especially from the guy who noticed me loosing it just before every corner and then the tire synching just before I start leaning, yes blipping the throttle more and not using the back break helped, lots ;-)
Was impressed with whole day, right from prepaying to getting out of the pits. Will be there for the next one.
