IF my SS bike is ready to roll for the following weekend then I will be there. Not too likely though... :(

Yep I'm there even if it's pissing down. Can someone else turn up and still go out even if the weather is completely atrocious? Unless it's really dangerous of course. I'm getting sick of not being on track. Test day at Manfeild yesterday didn't happen because of rain and I haven't been on track in such a long time.

True get that bike back together. Like being a beauty queen there are Certain obligations that come with being number one guy. The first is you have to give everyone the opportunity to beat you. The second is you must weld up thier exhausts whenever a want to be number one guy requests it. The third is you must never crash as that is a sign of weakness that other want to be number one guys will pray upon.

Yeah I'll be there. As long as the sun is out & there is a slight tailwind up the hill to help the fiddy & the lawns have been perfectly manicured & they stock the fridge with my favorite beer -which changes on a whim & . . . .

Well I will have already got up once at ~ 6 & changed a nappy, - but the bed's gravitational pull sucks me back in, where I seem to get even heavier for any further escape attempts

The bike itself is a ZXR 250 frame with standard front end, rear has an 08 ZX6R rear shock and of course the MIGHTY LONCIN POWER plant

I will be there. Can't wait to see how the bike goes on a short track now it works good sometimes!
I too have some performance mods to test. I now have an extra 200hp thanks to a really nice tinted visor I purchased the other day. Yes that's correct, 200hp. So Fish you don't stand a chance. Give up now!

Hahaha awesome. I have made a few mods to my bucket that should help with power. Just need a new carb and I'm sorted. Doubt I can afford a visor that produces an extra 200hp though. Bugger.

I'm going to test some mods if I can get my Bucket there (my van is in Katikati/Hampton Downs/Paeroa area). I'm removing the fairing to save weight.

If you remove the wheels to save more weight, we should be able to fit it in the van for you.

I have a problem. My Previa has stopped working so I have no family wagon to tow the trailer to buckets. Is there any chance someone could swing through Silverstream on their way to buckets and take myself and the bucket to Kaitoke? Cheers! (I will try for the rest of the day to get the bloody car to start but will most likely fail).

Anyone able to pick me and my bike up? Please?

BUGGER IT!!!!! My damn camera stuffed up on both of the recordings I did. The files are there but are corrupt. Hopefully I can repair them and chuck at least some footage up from today.
Anyway, cheers everyone! What a day! Awesome fun and some wicked riding too. Still chasing a win. Hopefully one day. Congrats to Fish and Andrew who were carving up as usual and Richard for that amazing high side. I take my hat off to you mate, that was awesome. You were going fast as out there too.

Isn't Kaitoke an amazing place on a day like this.
I have plenty of spare rubber on the slicks now as well.

Mint day of racing!!
Thanks to all you kind folks who came out and spent some time flagging for us, you guys rock!!
Hope all the walking wounded are doing ok, remember, if it's not feeling better tomorrow it may pay to go fill in an ACC form (and say you fell off a ladder or similar non-motorcycle related activity).
I now have slicks on my bike, the tread has disappeared and there's more rubber on them now than there was this morning! I kept wondering what the grotty noise from my front wheel was every time I went round a right-hand corner, then I realised it was the extra rubber rubbing on my mudguard. I think Rangi needs a shave.
Hope to see some of you at Taumarunui, otherwise next time. Have some photos from the last race, so if you want to see the ones of you, let me know. :)

Yeah it was a good day, surprised more didn't show up. Might be a while before I'm back in the saddle after plate is removed next week, but hope to make it to ride Easter meet. I had the realisation yesterday that the hard front plates of body armour may have dug in & contributed to breaking the bone where it did near the shoulder.

That was some full on racing. I had a blast. Also got the bike tune almost spot on. Who would have thought a little bucket could throw a big fella like me that far. I tried to open the video file of the crash but no go. Hamish will have to describe what he saw. Leg is really bung but can't wait to get back out there. The pace seems to keep getting turned up everyone is going faster. I will post the video footage of the other races tonight.
Cheers to everyone for a great day on and off the track.

Well I'm not getting faster, I've got slower, I'm backing off & changing down in places I used to hold open.
But at least I've got to the bottom of the issue with the bike when I changed back to my old faithful carb. I might try to resurrect the more recent one with some dirty engineering.
Glad no one was particularly hurt.

I'll go through them tonight and pick out some goodish ones. I was only standing at pit wall facing into the sun, so they're not that flash, but the action still shows. I was trying to get a good pic of you just about lying on the track as you come round that corner Hamish, but you pick the bike back up so quick that most are either blurry or you're already upright again, but hopefully there'll be something decent. :)
