:weep: one incredably loved bugjuicer aka an orange 636. (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports-tourer/auction-27063638.htm) :weep:

I've had a heap of pm's in the space of a few hours of starting the auction, so I might as well come clean. I originally didn't post, cos I'm not one to draw attention in times like this, despite the bike drawing the attention for me..

This has been one of the worst decisions I've had to make in recent years, but it's got to the point where most of my wages are going to pay off the bike, and I'm not getting any help paying off the car either. Long story, and I've been told it'll change, but I can't wait for things to change any longer. I can't even afford the most basic of things at the moment, so I need a change of pace. I'm miserable at the moment, not having any money for anything, and I'm miserable to ride it knowing how many k's I'm putting on a beautiful machine. I know it's there to be ridden, but still can't help feeling that way. When I'm riding it tho, there's nothing better in the world, and that includes sex at the moment. Again, another long story.

If it doesn't sell, then I'll just have to keep going and see where fate takes me, but if it does sell, then it'll clear a lot of debts for me and help me back on my feet. I can ride the winter out in some shit heap of a cage, then come early summer, I should be able to have saved to buy a late 90's 600 outright and keep some sort of life.

It's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all :bye:

That's really sad, Bugjuice. I really hope things work out for you in the long run, and that it's not long before your financial woes are sorted and you can buy another MeanMachine.

Keep your chin up, fella.

10th May 2005, 09:46
A sensible approach matey, point of thought, could you dumb-down your cage any more and get a 'dunger' or is the cage at that level already?

And yes, heartbreaking having to sell the virtually new bike but you will still be able to get another tidy older bike if you look carefully around.

Warning: Watch you don't end up doing as you plan and STILL end up in the same impecunious (broke) state you are in at present, it's too easy to do, believe me, - unless you're disciplined.
Good Luck

Kit,

Hope all is well mate. At least by the end of winter you should have a 95 ZXR600 running! Sorry for your loss and I hope everything works out for you dude. Good luck with the sale.

Big pity...shame about the bike, its Gorgeous with a capital G, believe me if I had spare $$$ I would be tempted - you could always trade down to my bike and I could trade up  he he

Sorry to hear about the money situation...

Thanks for the encouragement guys..
the current cage is a nice tidy Impreza wagon, but the car has to be quite well equiped and safe as it carries other peoples' kids. I don't want other parent's world in some wreck of a car should the worst happen. My 'gf' is a nanny so needs a decent car. She quit her job just before Christmas and has been doing temp here and there. She is trying to find another full time job, and said she can then start to pay off the car, but it's too little too late. Either I go down with a fight, or just give up with a bike under me crotch.. I know which I'd prefer, but in times of need..

Want to buy my old GN...? (Thought that might make you laugh through the tears..!)

Sell your car and bike, buy a dunger 4 wheeler for $500,and a good bike for less than $1500.In my strapped for cash days I swapped the CB750 for a Hillman Hunter for the wife, and rode a C50 step through I was given for free for 7 years - I don't need an expensive or powerful bike to enjoy riding...riding anything is pleasure enough for me....

hopefully I won't loose too much. It's not even a year old. fuk, didn't realise that even! The first owner bought it in July/August, then I picked it up Sept 11
I don't pay for the gas the car uses. That sucks about a tank a week. The car will probably end up going too, but can't go without having a car, so it'd have to overlap. But can't buy another car without money. So who knows.. After selling the bike, we can find something safe, but cheaper, and sell the wagon. Then things should pick up from there. :weep:
I can't help but compare it to a game of monopoly. You know times are tough, so if you don't pull up, you pull out. My cards are showing rough, so I need a change of game plan to try and win

sorry to hear mate that is a pretty bike if it a was 1000 I would have bought it off you (Looking for a 1000cc next). If you feel like going for a ride and need a bike give me a call and you can take my SUZUKI for a spin then at least you can experience a real motorcycle. No only joking but seriously if you want to go for a ride to get your mind off things give me a yell I have seen you ride and know that you will take care of my honey!

my car and bike even tho they are old(ish) cost 4000 for both. the car (when it decides not to hang out in featherston) is reliable and goes A to B and the bike, well yourv seen my bike, its not purty but I have alot of fun on it and isnt the slowest thing on the block. there are options even tho it probably feels like yourve run out of them.

Dont worry to much about it mate, your not dying, just taking a bit of time out, good on ya, we will see you on the road real soon why ? cause you have been bitten by the bug !!

You could always buy a cheap race bike ?
Go see Frosty and do some hell deal with him, or see if you can change your loan to a structured loan with MTF, ie you pay less and have a bulk amount to pay at the end of the term, but you dont, ya just buy a new one.

All will be good son, chin up and fight on !!!

health - yes. love - no. part of the long story. but don't worry about it.
Ironically, if I get cancer, all my worries go!! I'm currently researching on how to encourage cancer of the little finger. I can do without that. If I can get a doctors note to say I have cancer, then the life insurance pays up on the loan, and I automatically get $90,000. sweet. Either that or lotto. I think the chances of either are fairly well matched.

It's just a new game plan. I'll be back on the mono-wheel soon enough, looks like I just have to take a forced break from it while I sort things out. Shit happens, just have to deal with it.

I've had lots of offers of helping me and being there. I really really appreciate it. Words don't describe, so thank you all heaps. This is just a path I've wondered down, so I just have to ride it out for the moment. At the end of it, I hope to be racing, flying, and have a road bike, so there's always hope. But I just need to redo the ground work a bit..

I hear ya brother! I don't know how long I'll be able to keep racing as well because of the money factor. Comeon Lotto win, where are you??

You don't have to give it all up completly. you can compramise. Sell the bike and get a smaller bike like a ZXR400 until things pick up for you then you can trade that in for a new sex3sex again. Just make the best of your current situation and most importantly have fun and be happy! :niceone:

I've lost the urge a bit so if you ever feel like going for a thrash on the bucket just come and get it, on race day of course. Givin' it a good caning is bound to make you smile, if only it handled. It's better than nothing(just) and I've found I actually enjoy it more than riding on the road, all that thrashing and wheelstanding etc.

I'll still be around in here (trying to cut back on my post count, so it looks like I'm doing a bit of work..), just a little bikeless for a few months. Give it time, I'll be back around. Could be better than ever! who knows..

The way I am kinda looking at it at the moment, I could get a late 90's R6 or GSXR6/750 for a reasonable price, then a 400 race bike and have me some fun.
The 636 might not even sell yet.. It'd help if it did, but it's only a half-arsed effort, if you know what I mean..

Tell you what, you can hop on the back of mine!!! Just make sure you've sent a road sweeper out beforehand - oh yeah and you might have to do the throttle control from the back seat cos I can't quite manage that yet!!Hmmm on second thoughts that sounds a bit irresponsible - better send out two road sweepers.

man sorry you got to sell your wheels-gutted. i used to snowboard a shitload, then got spooked one season and wouldn't ride-for no reason, just thought i was gonna have a massive accident. may-be it's da powers dat be telling you to skip winter... (I'm irish & superstitious...). then on the other side you can search the country high & low for another minter- when everything feels right again. (mooola). it's not easy to not be able to do what you love though  makes bad feelings in your tummy and gives you bad posture from walking round with humped shoulders... if you do sell your ray of orange sunshine you can borrow my 250cc speeeeeed deeeeeemon any time. it's got no fairing so you could pretend you're flying... :msn-wink: good luck with everything. & hello to the crew.

lol.. thanks, I'll errr.. think about it..
keep forgetting to ask - how's the arm doing? Out of the cast yet? Can make it the other way round if you want a ride but can't.. ;)

SC - yeah, I know what you mean.. Who knows why things go the way they do. I was telling that to Ash not long after he broke his leg. He came off and hit the road sign and broke it. If he managed to have missed it, we could have been worse off up the road, so that's why it happened.. who knows..

How much interest are you paying on the finance? Maybe you can refinance with a company that has better terms or borrow money from your parents with zero interest.

yeah, tried that path. the loan is with the bank (best interest rate at the time), and they said I could extend the loan out by a year, which would reduce the monthly payments by $50. not worth it really.

Well i have this great loaner from mt eden that mike would sell ya. It's missing the rev counter but mike has a whole new dash for it. Oh yeh and it's missing the end cap on the exhorst (fell off on the way home yesterday a bit munted but it'll go on still) So at the moment it has only like a straight through muffler. An incredible amount of guts - I can appreciate it would be an extremely hard decision to make. Here's hoping it will be a short time before your situation improves and you can afford another 636.
