I'm living in Perth now, and at this stage, probably won't be back to live in Auckland for at least two years, so my ZXR is for sale. The kms are just over 54000 IIRC.

It has been fitted with 2005 ZX6R/636 forks, radial brakes/mc/clip-ons/front guard and front wheel, and has had a 2005 ZX6R rear shock, rear caliper and rear wheel fitted as well. It has also had the dogbones and rocker fitted from a "P" model ZX7R which improves the rear ride quality.

I also have the ZX6R yokes and stem, if you want to fit them (this was going be my next upgrade along with either a ZX6R or ZX10R swingarm before I scored a job in Oz).

I have fitted and wired in a Koso GP dash, which I used as the ZX6R wheels have no provision for a mechanical speedo drive. I have also purchased a new fairing blade, and a set of green Samco hoses, ready to be fitted.

The previous owner told me that the engine was rebuilt by Ray Clee, around 10000km ago. This is second-hand information, which I can't confirm but it certainly goes well. I checked and adjusted the shims about 1000kms ago. All clutch plates/driven plates were replaced, and uprated springs fitted about 7000kms ago. Has a full stainless 4 into 1 system.

Fairly new 520 chain and -1 front sprocket, rear sprocket was on the wheel, but it looks good.

I think it is due for an oil-change/filter, I just ran out of time to do it before I left. I also fitted a brand new battery about two weeks before I left in November, but it is probably kaput now.

Bad things: it has fibreglass main fairings which aren't that great, and the side fairings have cracks in them. Also, the tank has a ding in the side. Cosmetically it looks a bit rough, but mechanically I reckon it's sound as a pound. And let's face it, a rough paintjob won't kill you.

The brakes and suspension have improved it amazingly, and the engine is fast to get you locked up for the night. And it still has that awesome planted front-end feeling that early ZXRs were/are famous for when it comes to cornering.

Testrides will be a bit tricky at first, as I disabled the bike before I left, so my father-in-law will need to get it running for me first. And the rego is on hold. WOF will have expired, but I can't think of anything that it needed anyway. Contact me via Kiwibiker, and I can Skype/txt home to organise it.

Thanks, it's a great bike, but not much good to me when I'm 5000kms away!
