When I went up the bombays earlier today, southbound, at the merge ending the slow vehicle lane the lefthand lane turns to shit and they put cones in between lanes to stop lane swapping as the right lane is fine.
I'd recommend those on sportier and/or fragile machines move to the right hand lane before the slow vehicle lane ends.
If this is fixed by Friday someone should post that up too.

:-)
I'd recommend a lot of the knobs riding down on sports bikes learn to ride.
Last year Stretch and me rode down on cruisers and the amount of riders that carved us up was sad, till they got to the 3km of gravel road works on the Hauraki plains - where they freaked.
I passed several 'heroes', on Bandints and Gixxers, doing 5kpm and shitting themselves because it was cruddy dirt roadworks - crossed up and showering them in crap on a Rocket III.
Funny as.

Did you keep a tally on how many headlights you took out?

Ha! - I'm not *that* cruel - it was just dust.
(And the :-) indicates there may be a credibility gap!)
