Hi guys
I would like to have a get together of the Bay of Plenty KBers so we can get to know each other in person and maybe organise some rides or maybe a monthly get together. :ride:
I think the Auckland guys do something similar.
I was thinking at the Worlds End Sports Bar at fraser cove its got plenty of parking out side so we can check out each others rides and have a drink and a chat. :drinknsin
Sunday the 12th of June at say 11:00
If you got some ideas please post them.
I think there is about 20 to 30 KBers in the greater BOP area it would nice to meet you guys. :niceone:
Cheers Darrin

No, we officially proved last month that we blow goats.
You must be thinking about the Wellington guys - Thursday pool nights.

Monthly may be too much of a commitment at this time already attend Ulysses rides when shifts and family commitments allow.
Is there another name for this establishment its not listed in the phone book is it by Parkdale.

If your coming into Tauranga for down your way you turn left at the first set of lights on 15th ave that is Fraser St and go down there to the lights and turn right into the carpark.
You cant miss Worlds End Sports Cafe its on corner closest to the road in the main building.
Fraser cove is where the big Warehouse is.
We dont have to meet every month but there may be some that would like to.
I will be there with one or two of my mates on that sunday and see what happens

And you'll have to keep mentioning the date in every post so it gets into the minds of every Tga/Mt/Te Puke/Katikati rider that reads this site.
I may not be that easy to forget (just try it buddy), but I am decidedly wayward when it comes to remembering dates that I intend to be somewhere.
Something about being too overloaded.

Sorry, le Voxan is retired for 5 months awaiting the custom mufflers I am threatening to make, and a few other bits n pieces that I hope to pick up in France when I go to the Voxan factory in July (nah-nah-na-nah-nah). I get to pat the tank as I walk past it on my way inside each evening; sort of reminds me quietly like.
PS GR is coming to see me tomorrow about the new building.
Just wanted to bump it because I am useless and wanted the +1 to = 100 :niceone:

Halfway between Rotorua and Whakatane, just over the hill (some of the best twisties in the bay) from Lake Rotoma.
The flooding at Matata that has been on the news is 15mins north from us.
One of the better provincial towns I have lived in, tree lined streets, councl will to work with you not a lot of red tape. A low crime rate. Usually mentioned on the news weather section for having the nations high. Hunting fishing and bike riding paradise.
But you can't come
The price of houses have increased in value because too many peeps want to live here now. (That is until after I have brought a house)

Great to meet you guys today. Not a bad meeting place, either, even if the coffee was a bit "Ho-Hum"(bloody laughed when Rainbow Wizard ordered a long black and it came with a little jug of milk!!).
Where did you all go? I decided to go back from the top of the hill - had a job or two at home that required taking advantage of the fine weather... Plus it leaves me free for next weekend.

Great to meet you guys today. Where did you all go?
Left into Te Waerenga Road (a nice variation for the descent to the lake but watch out in winter because that lichen on the big downhill is much greener and just going for it!). A good short loop is R at the lake then R up Central Rd which is the next one after the Tauranga road when going towards Ngongataha, then R again into Jackson Road which joins back onto the Pyes Pa Road just uphill of Te Waerenga Rd. Great for pushbike exercise too if you need it!
We went out the Ohau Channel end and back here via Paengaroa/Te Puke and Welcome Bay Rd. http://www.voxanclubdefrance.com/phpBB2/images/smiles/new_color_.gif

And now that I know WTF I'm talking about... Yes, Darrel is a mate of mine, we've been racing (beachracing- see photo) and riding for years.
He has an absolute hard-on for R1's too he's been talking wesico for the thunder-ace. :devil2: He's our local FZ expert.
We go riding alot, mostly off the cuff.
I'll be sure to post our next outing... Meremere might be a hoot

Both those photos were taken at Gisborne... the black sand pics below are from Waioku by Pukekohe.
Noone races there anymore, one guy (Euan) on a gsxr11 could hit 240kph within the 800mtr straight, my gpz900 would be lucky to hit 200kph and my xj650 could only manage 160.
Roosters? yes indeed... I wonder how fast an R1 or ZX10 would go? we'd need to find a 190 dirt tyre to shread.

just a thought from Babyb........
Some are interested in coming to furture events that they can bring the kids..
Maybe similar meetings like this could be arrange mounthly
meeting at a cafe in the morning, for the ones that can not always ride as well as the ones that can and have it tied into a bike ride in the afternoon for the ones that can, so that everyone can still get together and get to know each other...
examples, husbands, wives and partners all meeting for coffee and the ones that want to ride in the afternoon can all go off together and those that don't could always stay and talk/shop/eat/ race out with spanner's if someone forgets there like has happend before LoL.
