Thanks for the luck seems to have sold quite quickly, perhaps the price was a bit low but been really good value for me.

Well sorry you had to sell it.
Hope the pack rack worked out to your liking.
You planning to buy a more comfortable tourer - sprint possibly?
I really like the street but I get a numb bum after a couple of hours (and that is even with the gel seat). Not the best bike for touring imo.

Hmmmmmm.... at 62, I only purchased one a few months back. Still, Mrs B is certain that I've never grown past 5 years of age so that's perhaps the reason why I'm ok on it!!
Good luck with the sale - a phenomenal bike.

You must have a bony arse or something. 700 km days are no prob for me with the standard seat.

Or you must have a well padded one - seat that is!
Actualy meant to tell you that I followed your lead and put night breakers in the street - changed them over last week and am quite happy with the better light beam. Thanks for the tip. Bloody rust inside the headlight is a bit annoying - will get that sorted out though.
Been quite busy on the mods - pazzo levers, new chain and sprockets, RAM camera mount (maybe finally get some use out of the camcorder I bought ages ago), gel seat, rad guard still on route (with stomp grips hopefully not too far behind) and the big one - finally took the plunge and ordered some new exhausts - went for Blue Flames evo 3 with dual outlets (an english firm).

What a fantastic picture with the bridge in the back ground. Nice bike, I'm sure it'll sell quickly

Yes I have a well-padded seat:innocent: Congrats on the mods - you clearly have a partner in a million or you're single :laugh:. Who are you buying your rad guard from and will it be silver or black?

Yes I do, but she nears the end of her tether as I'm always doing stuff on the bike when not riding it.
Black rad guard is through powersport - they advertise on this forum. Am getting stompgrips through them but as I changed the order (wanted black instead of clear) half way through they are coming separately.
Definitely need a rad guard as wellington council seem to be digging up every road possible - I have at least two stones ping off my radiator every day,

Well the Street is now in Nelson I believe, maybe a better place for her than the Canterbury plains. Notice seem to be a few come up with quite low mileages, for me the second part of my ownership was by far the best big improvement after the 10k service (which was at 8k) Next bike is a TDM 900 but do not pick up to ride back from Auckland until next weekend. May have a go at a bit of a review of the Street experience then. My first choice to follow the Street would have been a 1050 Tiger but still a bit pricey although if Triumph makes a light 675 based scaled down Tiger I could stretch the budget a bit. Something unique about the Triumph that was missing form the 5 Japanese bikes I have owned but right now I want a bike more suited to touring.
