Hi there,
Been contemplating long and hard as to whether this is the place to post this, but reached a stage where I have no choice - flat broke at the moment........and it looks like the dole queue if nothing improves.
Current employer is a small company going through a pretty scary takeover........may not come out the other side and it's too small for me to grow in.
I'm a recent grad (Oct 04) with a Bachelor of Business (IT/eBus double major) and two diplomas NZIM Dip of Management and the NZ Dip of Business, great grades B+ average, finished with an A in last semester, great referees(including current boss) and bout 2 years relevant experience and 8 years total including when I was in school.
Looking for some junior business analysis, project management work or even something that would lead directly to those areas.........not too picky as long as it's stable
Anyone know any place I can apply??? Must be a reputable place as I can't stand the instability of small companies and the lack of job security......
Just trying to avoid the dole queue at the moment and pretty stressed out watching the overdraft increase........ money may not buy happiness but the lack of it doesn't keep you happy either......
Any help - job hunt tips will be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Ujwal

Hmm would you be willing to move to Tauranga? Seems your into the stuff my mom is doin and she may be hiring a few new people. If you feel interested Email me your CV at alucard_draken@yahoo.com and I'll pass it on to her with your email so she can get ahold of you. I'm not exactly sure what it is she does only that her degrees are in the same field as yours.

Official role is Information Analyst and Sales Consultant. Basically fill items into a database, here is the company www.e-secure-it.info (http://www.e-secure-it.info)
Also wrote most of the content and did the content layout on that site, did a bit of business requirements/process gathering and reported it on it, etc......
Prefer customer focussed or business focussed roles. Been public speaking since the age of 12 and really prefer the business aspects of IT, that has been the focus of my education too.
However I'm a fast learner keen to learn anything that would help me on the job.

This might sound like I dont understand what you are going through but dont change your dream by being willing to go into a field you dont like but need to take just because you are in need of a job one usualy strugle to get out of those. I will have a word with the BA's I work with and hear if they are looking for any one with your skills. If I can give you advice dont stay in auckland because it is your home if you need to travel go. You are more likely to make it big outside of your home town than in it. dont ask me why I dont know I just found that after I finished studing things went better as soon as I left my home town, it still was a struggle but at least i got on track with my career.
I will send you a pm if I have anything for you

Two syllables Uj-wal. People tend to over analyse the pronounciation until they are told the correct one. Then they go
What's a painting roll??
