Now that I've got the TPX detector doohicky, I need to figure a mount for it. I could always buy the TPX version or a RAM mount or a Techmount but I am balking at the price of these.

Don't really have the gear to make up a bodgy job and besides, I like the functionality that comes with the pro jobs.

Anyone know of a source of any generic type mounts that are not in the $200 bracket? I'm thinking stem mount or maybe a lever mount - stem preferred I think as prolly easier to get at and to see.

Thanks all.

You could get a RAM system with the stem mount from here... http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/RAM/ram.asp?prod=RAM-PP3 for $135 including the postage if that price seems a bit more reasonable to you.

Otherwise I would be interested to hear of any cheaper options from anybody else, myself.

Does anybody in NZ sell the RAM system..???

Thanks dipshit...I have looked at the ram solutions website but would like to actually look at the options in the flesh before choosing - need to be sure the radar can look through the clear windscreen and not at the opaque fairing...for which reason, after some fiddling about this morning, I have decided a lever mount wouldn't work for the above reason. So stem it must be...

Where are these dudes you pointed me to based?

Sorted. Talked on the phone to the Ram Solutions man - he answered all the questions so I ordered three bits - total cost $110, delivered.

RAM mount bits arrived today. Had cap on stem nut drilled to diameter of internal hole. Now to put it together and fit it - sans drama I hope...
