This is from one of my favorite Canadian sitcoms called Corner Gas. It's the first scene in the first series.

One of my best friends here is from Saskatchewan, acrtually his hometown is not far from where they film Corner Gas. And yeah, he said it can be very monotonus but in a way beautiful scenery as well.

i spent 6 weeks in moose jaw, which included a couple of trips to regina. i love moose jaw... would happily go back there any time. regina, i didnt like so much. too big for me. primarily i was in ontario, on the shore of georgian bay. first time i saw the water, i said to my partner, "nice ocean." LOL. had no idea it was only a section of a lake, lol. would love to go back there as well, but meaford is too small for me... owen sound is more my style.

So the Song 'The Rolling Hills of Saskatchewan' is based on myth then?

there may be hills in another part of it... i was based in the center, and didnt see much of it. but it looked pretty flat from the plane too, lol. nothing prettier than flying over farms that all have frozen ponds in them... like shards of broken mirror reflecting the sun.

in my 6 months over in canada, i saw about 10 sheep, lol. felt like a real tourist getting home and seeing millions of the wooly bastards.
