Hey all,

I work for the company which has the NZDF supply contract, and I had this "great idea" for 2011 Tussock Buster, which had visions of Karcher tent, for blasting bikes down, and the Blackwoods Paykels tent, with tools and an Air Compressor etc for bike servicing....

when i floated it to my boss, he thought it would be great to sponsor it, and said we should do it this year, "Why wait?" he said....

looks like I just caused myself a heap of work in the next 4 weeks.

Look for the BlackWoods Paykels "Team Tent" anybody can rock up, pay a small gold coin donation and use some tools etc, with Wynns brake cleaner, degreaser, and chain lubes for demo, with all proceeds going to the Waiouru Kindergarten or something like that, and we will be giving away the Wynns products and toolkits at the end of lunch on sunday.

So, shall we put the KB clan near us then? Air dusters, Water blasters, air ratchets etc

lol, and I appear to have scored myself free travel and entry in the process.....

Bugger

how much is the entry fee?

About a Hundy mate, and take an extra $50 and that will cover your food, camping, and Alcohol

the last time I had drinks on Army camp it was end of 2009 after awards ceremony.... premixers were $2 and beers were $1

not sure if that will be the case here tho

You WILL have your sounds stopped midway through your favourite "Craig David Remix" or whatever inconsiderate fuckwitholes listen to when everybody is chillin out quietly.

I will not stand for it, its a family based event, that lets in dicks by accident

well get this doozy, for some hazy reason, I thought that it was around 27th April, not March.

So when the boss gave me the thumbs up, i thought I was going to be rushed to get it done in 8, I found out Yesterday (Fri) that its on March 26th, so i have to put a proposal down and have a listed cost with a game plan etc so the boss can sign it off, in pretty much exactly 1 MONTH!!!.

Never done all that shit before, should make it interesting, luckily I had already gauged interest from the 3 main suppliers to get us some demo units, and they were all knee, so yup, there were some very sheepish calls on Friday arvo to ask some pretty big favours.

Should be all go tho, so yea.

lol, amatuers aye?

I will be bringing some extra camping shit too, mate's mum asked me if I wanted the old Canvas/Wire framed stretchers they were biffing out, grabbed them coz airbeds sucko, and it does get cold up thurr, even in summer

driving up first thing Friday morning, plan to get there around lunchtime, sort some shit out and figure out best location for the Karcher set up etc as I dont think having a muddy Bog at teh end of the rugby field is high on their wish list.

Got some quotes for Marquee's today for the weekend, Goddam they are pricey, its like the cost of 1 just for 1 hireage, a 3x3 is $285 and a 5x5 around $370, rippoff!!

I was kinda surprised that our company doesnt have 1 ourselves, but I think they Hire a big fucker for Field days etc.

My boss once again said today.."need it on Paper, or nothing is going to happen"...meh

I am looking forward to riding this year - our family better not spend ANY time in a hospital this time around!!!! My great sis in law has arranged the house, my sister is coming up to child mind part of it and I am wanting to do a bigger loop but don't know if I have the skills to do it - but still want to try. I wanted to head down early as on friday morning but end of month and have to many loans to settle up, so will be riding all day sat/sun and head back Monday. I am so looking forward to it!

SpikedPunch
1st March 2010, 21:56
You can come along with our crew to do the dam buster if you want company?:) Krad's right, it's not really harder, just longer. A few decent hills but I'd only had the RM for 3 rides last year when I did it, managed not to off myself, you'll be sweet!

Krad & S.P on the Saturday last year you done quite a few of the smaller loops aye & the dam one on the Sunday? What were the Saturday one's like. The Dam one is just too long for me - can't leave my kids that long. But there's plenty of different ones that'll be long enough for me i think.

krad_nz
2nd March 2010, 20:06
Last year we did the long loop on the Sat and the shorter ones on the Sunday. Planning on doing the same this year.
Think we ended up doing 110km on the Sat. Came back from the long loop with the sun low on the horizon. Sun strike made navigation got a bit touch and go in places :)

RRider, SP will get in touch with you.

The shorter ones you did were they all alright - like not that hard or any major hills? Last year the plan was for John to come out on some with me & Rachel but that was ended within half hour of him riding. And this year he'll miss it completely

I think a beginner may find some parts challenging, but do-able. From memory there were a couple of boggy bits and the odd hill climb. Definitely do-able.

Also there was a pretty straight forward loop with nothing major on it. I think John had his off on it though. :)

L Rider
2nd March 2010, 20:19
Yeah we ended up doing that little basic loop. Well during the time we were around.

SpikedPunch
2nd March 2010, 20:19
There was one we missed, can't remember what it was called, apparently the hill was quite bad, I think they ended up having people help out there. Marsden's post was one of the shorter loops we did and it was reeeally cool. Cut onto part of the main trail I think.

yeah there was a steep downhill followed by a steep uphill. bikes piled up in all directions. i found a way around the pile up, but it was probably more difficult and steeper than the original tricky track- the only bonus was it was a clear run as far as bikes were concerned.... just not as far as massive holes in the ground and tussock bushes were concerned

The track with the hard hill that couldnt be avoided, as far as i know, was the Tussock Trail. The track wasa pretty boring really, and with that hill it was just a pain, plenty of kids on little bikes struggling to get up and getting in the way..

Hey there L Rider! There's heaps of girls going down this year, some with not a lot of riding under their belt! Marsden Point is fantastic. Ther is a bit of a downhill to it, but you can put your feet down if you have to. It's not a long one and it's gorgeous. I'll be doing a few of those on Friday for sure. One of the girls riding with us has been riding for about a year and isn't that confident! Might have to catch up with you and introduce the 2 of you! I won't be going anywhere near Sniper's Alley. From what I hear it's pretty tricky, as others have said, a long downhill with a big drop off on the right-hand side. One of the guys broke his clutch and was in first gear all the way home. Took them about 3 hours!!

Lots of river crossings on the dam one, which threw me. I drowned my bike in the first one, but then again, I drowned it again at Desert! Apparently there's a 100k and a 90 as well. There was a place called, I think, the nursery, which was a big downhill, but you could divert around it on the road!

3rd March 2010, 12:18
L Rider........I would have thought that with the exception of Sniper alley it was all rideable with a bit of common sense, just take your time, do a couple of the short ones first and stop and enjoy the scenery. If you can find the time do the Dam loop just for the scenery, there is nothing difficult on it.

Don't speed on the tank track....DAMHIK.

I packed a Tyre Pando with me on the Dam trail and used it within 20km. Admitedly my rear tyre had a questionable slow leak from the outset but I'd recommend you take one with you anyway. You don't wanna get stranded out there and have your day spoiled just because of a flatty. I noticed a few with flat tyres for some reason.

Hey Janet,
I might be on a new bike (birthday present to myself ) - not sure if right time to use it but hopefully will have a few hours on it before then but a little bigger so should be able to get further. I have common sense (most of the time) BUT I am worried if something happens as it is only me and Joan. It may sound silly but would love others to ride with as long as you understand that I may need a hand at times.

Does anyone know if they will upload on their website a copy of the trails for this year before the event to look at online first????

I asked the dude from karcher, and we can probably confirm-

2 or 3 Petrol blasters for bike washing (stand back, and dont concentrate the blast anywhere, use sweeping motions, or you will lose those pretty graffix you just put on)

a Karcher Gazebo thingy

several Blackwoods and Karcher banners.

2 x 3kva generators (courtesy NZ Generator hire)

Socket sets and basic tool use

Giveaways include -

Karcher domestic water blaster (Karcher man trying to swing his boss tomorrow)
JBS 3/8 drive socket set
hats, calenders, tyre pressure gauges, kincrome pocket LED worklights, whatever we can dig out of head office, plus Wynns products

I am getting a heap of support for this, at company level, thing is, I may be manning it myself, solo, so theres a Pit tent going for any of you "Privateers" lol

I have to have proposals etc to the boss by Tuesday, and I have pretty much sorted most things, with aim to taking a trailer from Wellington 1st thing Friday Morning, so if anybody wants to jump in, will have room for a bike etc

Other wise, swing past, use some gear, free use of Brakel clean and lubricants etc and also High grade industrial sealants if any Bush mechanic work is needed

lol, jokes, its pretty much free reign really, the donation thing is just trying to get some cash for the Kindy or community centre, not sure how much we will actually generate. and it makes the prize draw a level playing field too, a 6 year old might walk away with a $200 socket set, or a chick could get the 6 drawer, and have her man do chores for eternity to put it in his shed, hah!

I'm currently running my bike on premix of 40:1. Because of the altitude at Tussock should i change the mix to 32:1?
Any help, suggestions much appreciated - just make it in basic terms so i can understand thanks

I don't change a thing on the bike, same fuel, same fuel /oil ratio, same tyre pressures.....just ride it.

Just as an aside, you would never change the fuel /oil ratio for a change in altitude, you still need the same amount of oil gong through the bike regardless. If there is a significant change in altitude you may need to change your carburetor jets but I have never noticed any difference in performance going from Auckland elevations to the central plateau.

The important things for the Tussock buster are a reliable engine and good tyres / tubes to avoid being stuck somewhere miles for home.

B0000M
18th March 2010, 11:01
i actually noticed it last year at waiouru, if if was stuck behind someone for a reasonable period going slow my bike would foul up a bit, and i put that down the the real high altitude, but i run my bike richer than standard, id say if you run standard settings there it should be fine.

18th March 2010, 11:05
I happened to do a pre Tussock Buster ride there in Dec 09 and we were advised to increase tyre pressure. I thought "why its only pumice based soil".
Wrong. The places we went had freaking gnarly rocks throughout and we were hitting them at speed.

I don't know if these tracks are included but it would be a good idea to pump tyres up to 15-16 psi. It just might save having the weekend ruined by a buggered tyre. You can always let them down if need be.

On a side note I have been offered the Helwan barracks for accomodation next year. These barracks are on the other side of SW1 just north of Waiouru past the 100km sign. They have barrack type rooms (Lockable) for about 150 personnel with matteresses and showers etc.
There is a discreet gate on the opposite of the road for direct access into base camp. The disadvantage is a ride thru the compound for meals and track entry. The advantages are that its heated (was -4 there last night) and you don't have to pitch a tent etc.

Just gauging interest at this stage. There maybe a small charge to cover room/toilet cleaning etc.

L Rider
18th March 2010, 11:36
Thats a great idea about the barracks. The bit of a ride to get to base camp would be far outweighed by the benefits of the barracks. This year we've got a Transit House due to John being in the forces & deployed at present.
Last year we camped which was good but alot more hassle this year when its just the chicks & young kids.

Oldskool used a tyre pando at the first fuel stop of the Dam loop at last years tussock buster, maybe carry one of those, it wont do big valve tear tyre punctures, but I would think it would do smaller holes. It lasted all the way back to the carpark, ~70 k.

I went up to cycletreads the other wknd about this. They only had 2 options at that time for tyres with tubes. One was Blue Goo or something which is more a preventative. You put it into your tubes then if you got a hole air causes this substance to react & goes into a lump sealing the hole.
Other option was this motul stuff which puts some air into the tyre as well - its a aerasol. I've got that that i'll carry with me.

Wow did you drop your bike Spiked Punch? Glad I wasn't the only one! This year I know what to do, how to lift the bike up and drain the water out, put a new plug in. Also an issue of DRD had an article on water crossings! He said short people are disadvantaged big time, which was great to hear from John Nick! See you down there.

As L Rider said there's a goo you can put in the tube which seals small holes as they occur. I noticed a flat one day at the MX track on my CR, was going to call it a day but remembered I'd put the goo in my tube and tried pumping it up. Sure enough the goo sealed it and the bike still has the same tube to this day although i've changed tires numerous times. I've never been a fan of the pando's as they often make a mess and I haven't seen many success's with them. Pain to carry aswell......

As far as actual repairs go I just use a bicycle tire repair kit as found at the local servo..... make sure you let the glue dry before putting the patch on and push it on hard and let it set before inflating. Also don't inflate much until the tube is in the tire. You can get bigger patchs if considered necessary from any friendly car tire shop for a small fee.

On rides like this I normally just run my tires super hard, rather be safe from punctures in the middle of nowhere than have that extra little bit of traction.

i dont know if anyone has actually thought about this- but a flat tyre on a mx bike isnt the end of the world, keeps riding it back to wherever you need to go. just go gently on rocky stuff and remember that the back end will snake wherever it feels like it!

you'll only fuck the tube, which is fucked at this stage anyway.... assuming you dont ride all weekend on it flat or give it death or hit rocks etc fast

Well thats the 2nd bike thing i've learnt today! Bikeshop didn't even point it out to me that you could still ride on it taking it easy even when i explained that i have spare tubes back at the car all the time. I don't know how to change it but i'm sure i'd find someone who can for me.

oh dont get me wrong, it sucks riding on a flat, but its a whole lot more fun than either trying to fix it on the side of the trail with only half the right tools or pushing it, or trying to take the wheel off and transport it / you to the pits etc, last week i raced for about 30 minutes on a flat tyre before i got too pissed off with it and pitted to change it

Dear Rider

RE: Confirmation of registration for TUSSOCK BUSTER 10

Thank you for registering for TUSSOCK BUSTER 10 being held the weekend of 26-28 March 2010.
We really appreciate you and your friends supporting this event as Offlimits is a charitable (non commercial) organisation that is dedicated to raising money to support soldiers in their sporting endeavours plus to provide help to those who return from overseas deployment and need additional assistance.
TUSSOCK BUSTER 10 will be bigger and better than last year due to the following:
• You can ride for longer with tracks now opening on Friday at 1300 hr. Tracks on Saturday open after the special mass briefing at 0930 hours and on Sunday, they will open at 0830 hours.
• There are more tracks than before. We now have two kids tracks in operation. One is in the trees beside the camping area and the other is on flat ground just to the south of the camping area. There is also a 100km track in addition to last years 90 km track. We have also put in some by- passes on the gnarly sections plus have included some expert sections for the really keen.
• There are additional food stalls available and the Rugby club bar will once again be in operation. No need to bring food. You can buy it all there on site and the revenue goes to the local community.
• The photographer will be in full swing and will have photos available each night and he will be screening snap shots of the day in the Rugby club each night.

The Waiouru Military Training Area is unique in the North Island and as a result, there are a few things to remember:
• No tear offs and no littering at all
• Fire extinguishers are recommended for all bikes over 85 cc but they are not compulsory
• Some of the tracks are long, so take a back pack with you that contains ample tools, food, water and warm clothing. The weather can change suddenly at Waiouru.
• Do not touch any ordnance seen in the training area. It could be dangerous. Please listen carefully to the rules relating to this at the briefing
• Keep to the left on all gravel roads. There could be large military vehicles using these roads and they have poor visibility and cannot swerve to avoid you.

TUSSOCK BUSTER is a great family and group event designed for all to enjoy. Grab all the friends you know and head on down to Waiouru for what should be a fantastic weekend of riding.

Regards
OFF LIMITS

As far as photographers go its open slarver.
Update on the weather. Pissing down all day with real wind. Apparently its hard enough trying to stay on a quad bike.
The weekend however is looking mint. Just watch those streams as they have slimey rocks that are unforgiving (claimed a Husky today and its still sitting out there on its lonesome) The slime will wear off as more bikes go over them. The second river crossing will be a good place for Kezza to ambush KBers with his browny box.

Gisborne huh? You weren't mates with the poor guy whose bike fell off the rescue quad still attached to the trailer (towball fell off the quad) were you? Poor bastard...Glad my bike was off it by that point.
We did the 93k trail on Saturday, seemed harder than last year. I couldn't kick my bike well because my leg was all strapped up so had to ask for help a lot, which sucked. Was fun riding tho. Some of the hill climbs were pretty challenging on the 100. Pushed it for sure. Sunday my bike shat itself just after the first fuel stop on the way to sniper alley. So the boys went ahead while I spent a few hours being rescued, hanging out in the tussock, and going for a chopper ride (Was really, really cool getting an aerial view of the area - worth a fried clutch, maybe). Bike will be taking a trip to spectrum to get all sorted on Monday, then it's up for sale.
Anyway, I'm tired. Pix and vids tomorrow. Coughing up a lung from dust.

The bog - Lucky I took a good line through there, so it only took one person to pull my bike out instead of four or five - it was a real sinkhole!:

What a bloody fantastic weekend.
We did Waitangi a couple of times on Saturday so i could get used to my bike. ive got a really bad habit of counter steering when I hit corners to fast. We then did Sniper Saturday afternoon. Sunday we hit Totem in the morning then again in the afternoon. About 5km in the second time my back tyre blew out so we had to limp home.
Four hours later back to Wellington.
Roll on next year.

Had a great time!
Most enjoyable part would have been the nice open flowing part of the tussock loop after the big bog and forest section, with yet another bog :)
It was my first good ride since I did my fork oil too. The front end of the KDX is so much better with some 7.5wt fork oil in it.
Was good to catch up with n00bie and RITTRed. Tent threatened to leak again, even after we water proofed it. RITTRed lent us a tarp, cheers bro!

Didn't sleep well on Saturday night, stupid music playing until 1am or something. It wasn't good music either....

We spent a while helping people up that first big hill climb. I think we spent too much time there actually, as I was pretty stuffed after that and we were probably only about 1/4 of the way into the ride.

That big bog sucked me in good on our first loop. So good infact that I couldn't even get myself out of it, let alone the bike. In the process of extracting myself it sucked the sole off one of my boots. Time for a new set I guess. Set of trackers have lasted me over two years now, so I think I got good value out of them :)

On Sunday we did Sniper Alley without SpikedPunch. She had no clutch left so it was just Meatbomb and I.
It was pretty sweet, except for a boggy section that screwed me up good. It was rutted out pretty badly with each rut filled with water. KDX isn't exactly renowned for its great fork clearance, which proved to be a problem. :) Managed to get hung up pretty good while all the mx bikes squeezed through without trouble. Doh.
This happened again on the same loop, but this time it was on an up hill. There were two big ruts neither of which the KDX's forks would clear. Thankfully there was an alternative route.

Felt my riding improved a bit during the weekend, but I need to get better at riding bogs. I also discovered that a bike with less fork over hang would have made my life much easier.

i found a sweet technique for the mud bog the dam buster / tussock / sniper alley shortly after fuel stop 1, the technique was ease into it at medium pace, hook 3rd, and fucken feed it to it! i tried gently, and tried full noise, but ease in, then feed it to it worked best lol

i had a bit of time to watch how everyone was trying to get through the first bog on sniper alley while i was fishing my bike out. the best technique i saw was a couply of guys jumping the bugger. dont think id be to keen to try but was cool to watch.

I was talking on Sunday morning to one of the marshals & Sat night they got 5 by helicopter (had only gone to get 1 quad that was way down a bank but the other 4 it was just easier to get by chopper than get the unimog to them. so they collected then put on back of the mog.

Yea im that poor guy whos bike cartwheeled down the hill! Was one of the 7 from gizzy but BOOOOM had left before i got back so never heard about my epic adventure till a few days later. Glad you enjoyed your heli ride, would of been awesome. Was a long slow ride back for me in the uni mog. Hope you got your clutch sorted, im still trying to figure out where my bike is bent, and still finding broken bits. And on top of that i still have a blown head gasket to sort. Think it may be time to go back to a trusty 2stroke!!

I hope next year they have safety chains on the trailers!!!

KRAD - I hope it wasnt the Blackwoods paykels tent that was keeping you up?? I deliberately turned off the stereo at around 11pm - midnight, but the catering staff were on the piss untill 3am, then were kicked out of the clubrooms, then said they were going to drive to Taihape to a party..... decided we wouldnt go with...

thanks to all those who came and said hello at the Blackwoods tent, although I was the only person with a bike who didnt ride, the DR of doom looks a lot prettier now, just need to get a Recoil kit and fix those damn threads in the head....

The bosses look to be pretty impressed with the set-up, and we will most likely be supporting the event again in the future, wether it be for promotional, or onsite, we are not sure.

I have a verbal OK from the organisers that we can get a water truck next time, having 1 tap to service 2 x waterblasters and 8 x portable showers just wasnt working!

anyways, glad you all had a great time!

Poor guy - good on you giving him the socket set. Last year when hubby was in the ambo there was a guy in there with a badly broken leg - high as a kite on morphine so was really happy. I'm sure later on reality would set in & he'd be pissed he missed some good riding (he broke his leg before lunch on the first day).

Yes, it was a good weekend alright. Freakin long hours being a sweep rider tho. We generally headed out in the murk and got back to camp in the murk.

My daughter got the best job of all. After sign on had dried up she got invited for a Helo ride. After that she was asked to be Helicopter crewman for the weekend fitting chains onto downed bikes in the back of nowhere.

Today she brought some aviator glasses. Thinks she wants to be a pilot now. Ha ha.

Needless to say she's reasonably keen to go again next year.

Thought I should post this

Tussock Buster just keeps getting bigger and better

Congratulations to all those who attended TUSSOCK BUSTER10 held at Waiouru on the weekend 26-28 March 2010. The concept of having the tracks open on Friday afternoon proved very popular with 530 riders taking advantage of this great opportunity. Saturday saw 1234 riders attending and Sunday had a very respectable 1011 riders. Thank you for supporting this charitable event.

According to the MNZ steward who supervised the event (we operate under an MNZ permit), TUSSOCK BUSTER 10 is now the largest trail ride in New Zealand - not bad for only being in operation for two years. Of greater importance is that TUSSOCK BUSTER has one of the lowest or the actual lowest injury rate (as a percentage of riders) of any trail ride (MNZ statistics). Congratulations for the low injury rate needs to go to you- the responsible rider - for taking care on what are high speed tracks over long distances.

Improvements

We always want to improve on our events. Next year, we will have the bulldozer and grader over the tracks a little earlier so the tracks can compact before the event. We also intend to open up more tracks to the north of the Army camp so we do not ride the tracks which have now become somewhat bumpy. We will also have camouflague motocycle riding shirts available for sale and will be able to sell these before the event online. We are also looking at on-line payment for next year.

Fuel for the longer tracks is always a problem for us. With the number of riders and the long distances, it is not practical to have individual fuel containers pre-positioned in two locations each day. We decided to hire fuel tankers and had to pay the cost to hire them, get them to and from the event plus get them way out into the training event. Even these two tankers ran out of fuel so we had to fly additional fuel into the refuel dumps so riders were not left stranded. This obviously pushed up the price of fuel significantly.

The secret is to not totally fill up at these re-fuel dumps. Just purchase a litre or exactly how much you need to complete the large loops- thereby avoiding the purchase of excessive quantities of expensive fuel. We want to continue to offer the longer loops as this is one of the things that makes TUSSOCK BUSTER special. However, we are conscious of the cost of getting fuel into very remote areas.

If you have any suggestions for improvement, send them to Mike Ross

more figures to wow at-

assume an average bike value of $5000 - theres plenty of new ones, plenty of old ones, and plenty in the middle 1234 bikes is $6,170,000 worth..... most of which sitting in the paddock overnight

makes you glad there were army guys patrolling EVERYWHERE all night

the first refuel point was too close to the start- but it was as far as it could be and still serve the sniper alley trail.... however i dont think many people would have needed to fill up for the sniper alley, i know i didnt. and then the 2nd fill point i agree was too close to the finish, and could qute easily logisticly been placed a lot further back than it was because of the way the trail follows along the road side for so long.

things im sure they will get better at over time. after all - thar WAS only their 2nd attempt at a the tussock buster, and both times have been bloody well done

How long was the sniper track? i thought it was only 40k's. if that can't be done on a tank it must be a small tank or it leaks.

9.5 I think-the same as mine. I filled up when we did the Tussock Buster loop and did a quick measure when I refilled back at the campsite. I reckon I would have got all the way around on a tank but I am glad that I didn't put that to the test. Dunno what sort of oil they put in their premix though-it was kind of smoky:-)

In terms of whether it was too easy I don't have any complaints -there were some harder sections but the I reckon the organisers of rides like this need to make the rides achievable and therefore enjoyable for riders of all skill sets.

I thought the organisers did a pretty good job-and you are never going to please everyone all the time.

Interesting - according to the KTM add in the Kiwi Rider for the new EXC 300s it is 9.5 litres mine is 9.5 according to the specs

When you have to keep filling it again and again it def seems like it is bottomless anyway...Like FlyingCR I thought mine must be 11.5 (9.5l with 2l reserve) as I did the Dambuster track with FlyingCR and had to switch to reserve at the same time (on the same hill). The Dambuster distance was 91 km on the speedo.
I was pretty curious about how much fuel it actually took so after tussock with an empty tank I drained it to reserve then measured the reserve fuel - 1.5 l (actually 1.4 but there will always be some dregs stuck in the tank)
Filling it to the brim was 9.8l total. I think the fuelstop was at 75k or so and it wasn't long after that I went onto reserve. I think we must have been on fumes when we got back!

I did the Tussock Buster including the extra little bit on one tank.... Just.
Standard tank (7.5L I think) EDIT, it's actually only 7 litres, now I'm super impressed!)on an 07 RMZ450 with big bore kit. I was giving it a fair bit and the 4 speed meant she was fair revving down the fast sections.....
In saying that tho I didn't stop once, which means no wasted gas stopping, starting, idling etc but I was still rather impressed to make it.
