Great meeting, thanks for running streetstock vic club, good organisation, ill be doing the winter series now.

Very tight racing, those south islanders are bloody quick..., And tyler great stuff on the hyosung....didnt think you'd be only 1 sec off lap record time on an unfamiliar bike.

250 twins showing the way, A pity our race was cancelled but thats the way it is.

Looking forward to the winter series in streetstock.

Good on you Max.
I'm glad you have realised there is more in the Street Stock yet.
The Winter will teach you A LOT! Especially when the track conditions aren't so great..... SMOOTH is the key. Be Smooth....

Might see you there..... Sounds like I have a full time job with an Official Vest on...

might pay to contact Johnny Small - he's got a Ninja 250 being readied for battle as you read this, might be able to twist his arm before he finishes it off

Really great to see the Wrong Islanders pushing hard to stay with the NZ'ers, and to see the other brands of 250's come out of the shadows - well done all of you

Maybe you should consider getting a few of you together and DOING the big trip overseas to Ruapuna, Levels or Teretonga - we must be doing something right if the results are to be believed - contact Pete Jones, I'm sure he'll do his best to help make it happen for you, you will LOVE the experience

I dont want to burst anybodys bubble here,But nobody got to within a second of the lap record last weekend. The lap record stands at 1.25.9 and was set by Chris Sales in 2002 on an RG running standard gearing,The fastest lap I saw last weekend was a 1.27.1 by Johnny Small,An excellent effort for his first time at Manfeild,In fact all the riders from the stepping stone too Stewart Island aquitted themselves well.Best some of the Pig island boys and girls get down there and find out whats in the water (most likely 45 South)

Are you sure about that first date? The calendar says levels is 11th april. I believe teretonga is pencilled in for 23rd of may too. No idea on ruapuna though.

Johnny Small - He has really impressed me all year, great riding and fantastic attitude, loved watching him at Invercargill, he was using the guy on a faster 250 as a burm in the turns, it reminded me of the old NZ way of racing bikes

Ay????

Motorcycling canterbury site only shows levels on the 10th and it is no round of the winter series.

Teratonga is may 23 according to the SMCC site which is usually right, i havent heard a date for the 11th???? Where does that info come from???

I'd be surprised if MCC raced two dates in a row.

Wouldn't it be nice if they occasionally informed us of race dates.

Yeah I would have thought it would have been in the newsletter from last month. It is only 4 weeks away and I don't know if many people know about it. And yes, it isn't part of winter series, it is part of south island cup. Something very different :)

Edit: Just looked on the canterbury car club website and it says this for 11th April - CLUB DAY 4

Sunday, April 11, 2010
Club Day Racing - Full grid racing including Saloons, Classics, Sports and Open wheelers

So I very much doubt they will be sharing the track with us :)

Not having a go at you Bren (know you have something to do with site. Apoligies.
Where is the newsletter on mci site!!!!!!!!!!! we have dial up and it wont load all of first page (is it on there) cant find it on listings on rt/hand side.
How come the entry form that we got last weekend at the classic meeting says it is for Ruapuna sat 10th april! Or does the newsletter rectify that.
Sorry if i have offended any individuals........ just pissed off with the constant shite organisation/service from MCC in general

Bren_chch
16th March 2010, 20:57
Ok there are only a few dates on the MCI website because thats the only dates MCI have, cant apply for more until the carclub have sorted their dates out.

There is NO date set for Ruapuna because the club cant book one yet, Round 1 of SI Cup i believe is now Levels the date is on the MCI website.

Sheesh!

Swerve, I was only pulling ya pisser! Sorry ;)
