On behalf of VMCC I would like to thank all that made this meeting possible.
The competitors: You guys put on some amazing racing action through all the classes. Congratulations to the winners of each class and those that broke new lap records - Well Done:yes:
The Volunteers, Nigel Armstrong and his awesome team of flaggies, my fellow VMCC Committee, MNZ and all the sponspors.
Without any of you this meeting would not have been possible and successful.
We wish all our fallen riders a fast recovery and our thoughts are with you.

It is a pleasure to be a part of the flag marshals team & see the excellent racing from a different perspective.

You Guys/Girls that ran the round need to pat yourselves on the back, a fantastic weekend!:first:

Yep, thanks to all those who ran a great event. A bit different being on the "other" side of things but it's given me a perspective I didn't have before - especially at this level. Much of what you do is completely invisible to those taking part.
Awesome guys!

You got that right..... And I guess if it is "Invisible" then it has worked well?
Was very happy to be part of the team that made Round 4 of the National Championship a Success! Thanks for roping me in Dee. (That is a genuine thanks, not a P/T).
I now have a different perspective on the race meetings also.....
Seemed a little weird not being at Riders Brief.....
Then again, there was no need. My Job was VERY different in the weekend... One that I loved ;)

Yeah thanks heaps to all who made it happen, and I think a big congratulations is due to the Vic Club. It was great to see a relatively decent crowd in the stands. In my short time racing it was the biggest crowd I've seen at a motorcycle racing event outside of a street circuit. Well done :niceone:

Thanks mate,
Not quite the crowds who used to pay to watch in the 90's, but I think (hope) we are clawing our way back.....
I think "we" have to make it a habit of the public to come along to the Motor Cycle Racing in the weekends before Numbers in the crowds will increase to Full Stands....
Oh, BTW while I was watching all the action from the Quad, I come up with a new idea for a Stand at the track.... Sure it will be a little walk back to the Hot Chips, BUT what a Great View!
AND it is well out of the way of getting hit by anything... So actually safer than the Exit to Dunlop.

I did a rough count of vehicles in the public car park at lunch time, about 300 cars and 200 bikes - It was suggested that a lot of people had gone into town for lunch, I was going to check again later but was to busy watching the awesome racing.
I'm guessing about 1000 - 1500 spectators, I was a bit disappointed . I am also a pissed off, I had a swag of flyers to put out at Paeroa promoting the free entry (and had hoped to get a public address announcement as well) but I spent the day in Thames Hospital and never got it done :( I did manage to get a few bikes shops and service stations to take some on the way home on Tuesday but the thousands of bikes at Paeroa was a missed opportunity :(

I would second that,a fantastic job running it, the first event I have ever attended that has been running so far ahead they could put a 20 minute break in

That was the best organised motorcycle racing event I've seen in UnZud! All of you deserve a real pat on the back for that effort. Good on you.

.
Exactly! Let 1000 in free or charge 100 $10. As a racer I'll happily pay an extra tenner in my entry fees if it gives the sport more exposure and a better chance to grow. A bit of a hit now for a better future...hopefully :D

Im sure if they knew that you'd be wearing those little white shorts around all day then they'd pay more!! ;)

Well done Glen - What ever you 'adjusted' for race 3 made a good difference - the drive you got against the little Tiggy out of the hair pin was much better. I was sitting on the quad in the infeild cheering and clapping.
Best of luck for the last round.
