Hi all, I'm looking to replace my front tyre (110/70 R17) with a 120/70 R17. Are there any issues with this? Cheers DJ

Clearance is an obvious one. It does look better (at least on rear tyres for bikes like the M109R) but wider tyres certainly change the dynamics of cornering too.... and can affect insurance since its not manufacturer recommended specs. I wouldn't recommend changing a front tyres width at all personally.

As long as you have a 3.5" rim then a 120 will fit fine. Of course you will crawl around & probably read 3.00 on the rim & then realise that you shouldn't fit non std sizes, bike wheels aren't very tolerant. More rubber can give you less rubber on the ground.

Perhaps, the 110/70x17 is designed for a 3.00 inch rim, and the 120/70x17 is for a 3.50.
If you use the 120/70 on a 3.00 inch rim it will actually ruduce the size of the contact pach, and would be counterproductive.
the best advice would be to aways use the correct sized tyre for the rim/bike.
