Currently I'm on dial up. Very expensive seeing that I never use my home phone and still paying for it. I have decided to swtich to mobile broadband (Telecom). You know those little sticks you just plug into your USB port? that way I only pay for internet and thats all ! will save me about $45 a month. Should've done it ages ago.

Anyway, without my phone line anymore I can't keep my xtra email address. Thats what the guy in the shop says. I'm just wondering, what other "local" email adresses are available.....other than hotmail/yahoo/gmail.

I'm not clear what the problem with gmail is? Other than you need an ISP to get there !

But, anyway, you can keep your Xtra account regardless of your Telecom situation. Xtra and Telecom are different things -.

Or any of the other ISPs, same deal. How you connect is not inherently of relevance - though it may affect the deal you get. Or try www.worldnz.co.nz for cheap email options.
