Ok, so I am a bit oversensitive about seizing the brand new piston on my race bike on Friday and I am a female. So im feeling a bit emo....

I bought a bike 23.01.2010 and went in that day and paid me $$ for change of ownership and posted the previous owners form at the same time. I just received a letter today, dated 23.02.2010 saying; "to date we do not appear to have received any notice from the new owner. As a result, the transfer of ownership cannot be completed until they notify their part of rge notice..." then t goes on to say...." Until such time as they do there is a risk that enforcement agencies may hold you liable for fines and fees..."

So naturally I ring LTSA and enquire. I had the change of ownership paper with receipt in front of me.... The lady I spoke too said, oh yeah nah, it's all good. I said that I was worried that maybe someone else had registered it as theirs and that's why I got thre letter. She was surprised that I was worried. After all "maam, your leter had to come all the way from Wgtn to Palmy North and a month is not a long time".

Of course now that I have had a couple of beers it's funny!!

A month to get something delivered? What do you all use to get things delivered around there?

Hmm, yeah I sold my YZF on NYE. I got a letter saying the same thing. I had posted the form thingy at the letterbox at the end of the driveway before the new owner had got into top gear. So I sent an email suggesting that they likely had a process error & that as part of their continuous improvement program they should pass this complaint onto their quality dept, just to cause a stir up in there. 'Course I just got a form reply saying that the rego had been updated so no further action was required.

My husband and I have gotten that exact letter for each and every vehicle we have sold in the last few years. I don't expect their record keeping is going to improve anytime soon.
