I have been reading the forum and was confused about the jets mentioned by Filter_nz
"I upgraded my jets 95 to 97.5 and the second jet, 92.5 to 92.5"
The 95 to 97.5 I understand, but not the second. If this is a typo can some one clarify plz.
Also, other than the Main Jet, what is the second jet being refered to here?

Better to quote directly in that thread, and PM the poster for an explanation.

Well to answer my own question, I have found out that the front cylinder has 92.5 Std, and the rear 95 Std, this is to give a cooler / richer mix to the rear as it tends to get hotter due to less airflow for cooling.
GT250 owners, keep watching the other threads for all of our mods, and dont hesitate to ask questions.

I was under the impression that the different jets were for different rev ranges, one for low revs other for high revs?

I was under the impression that the different jets were for different rev ranges, one for low revs other for high revs? No. There are two carbs, one for each cylinder. Each cylinder has to be fed correctly.
I have not heard the explanation of the rear cylinder having to be jetted richer because of less cooling available, but it does make sense.
