Anyone tried this? I reckon they did it a few times. I was trying to work out if this was possible with how smooth it shows. Not a wobble.

Pretty cool none the less.

Yeah, left burnout marks on the carpet and a big hole in the flat screen tv..... ;)

I think bmw have some pretty cool marketing ideas for their new superbike.

Who'da thunk that clearing the table could be so sexy!!

They must have used silk linen. Slippery as an eel on a waterslide.

P.S. BMW FTW

Half the trick is leaving some slack so that the cloth starts to move VERY suddenly

Half the trick is leaving some slack so that the cloth starts to move VERY suddenlyYeah, I'm surprised they got away with so little slack.

More big bikes to be seen at weddings methinks. :niceone:

Haven't seen all the new colour schemes yet. It's got pretty clever electronics : traction control and ABS , etc.(although could be said more to go wrong).

I am not sold on this ABS and traction control thingies to be honest....I don't really like the idea of electronics taking over my braking, but then I have no experience with ABS or traction control on a motorcycle so what do I know.

Wasn't to keen on electronics either but the technology has improved and it is now also more adjustable and less intrusive. I think it would be nice in the wet in a panic emergency situation.

They meant to be pretty impressive when you use the different settings. Full throttle around corners and it want give you more power if you're at certain angles. Sit the bike up and it feeds it on. Of course that's rain mode. I think they're gonna do well. Styling is interesting, but shit if it can do this, who cares :)

Doh! If I had only searched "tablecloth trick" instead of "BMW 1000RR", "Dinner for RR" (as the vid is titled) and a few others...

It's a trick (but still cool) - dinnerware is on a glass sheet and the cloth is between the glass and the table (see comments on youtube)

I saw this on Mythbusters last weekend. They started as per video and ramped it all the way up to 200 feet of rope and hitting it at 100mph with no success. They concluded that it was bogus as suggested by an earlier poster. They achieved success by polishing the table, placing the table cloth on the table, placing a large sheet of acrylic material (or plastic) on the tablecloth and then setting the table on top of that. Worked perfectly.
